> 3 dayI love this so much. I have been using a mat for years, and never thought I would spend the money for a wool mat, as it wouldnt make any difference because it was the iron getting hot, not the mat. Boy was I ever wrong. It makes a world of difference. Every wrinkle or crease comes out so easily on this mat. I recommend this for everyone who needs to press quilting pieces. It is the best item I think I have bought in a really long time. Cuts the time in half! Love it!

Greater than one weekI have a large cutting cabinet and decided to move my ironing station to this since is taller. I do see a difference in using the wool ironing pad verses a regular mini table top iron board as well as the other iron pads I have. They slipped around and maybe it very frustrating! Plus bending over was terrible! Now with the higher height and NO SLIPPING, I have no issues. It does retain the heat well but does not go thru to the cutting mat covering my cutting cabinet surface! Now, if I can keep my cats from thinking its their new scratch pad! I have had to cover it with fabric to deter them! Anyway, I am satisfied with my purchase and am finding it very useful!

> 3 dayI took my new pressing mat to quilt camp so that several people could try it out. I was looking for feedback for myself and also allowing others to try one before purchase. Most users really liked it and some intend to purchase one. Works best with a hot iron - not one in the warming cycle. Seams did not show on top of block due to the thickness of the mat.

> 3 dayI love it, the surface by far produces better ironing than an ironing board but it smells a bit when the heat hits it. Maybe like lanolin from the wool.. Its not terrible just noticeable but its a great value! I have a different brand one that emits no smell.

> 3 dayI’ve been searching for a solution to streamline my sewing room. I came across this felt ironing mat on a search and was intrigued. I have had disappointing encounters with other creative supplies and approached it with some doubt and skepticism. The reviews were promising so I decided to give it a try. I’ve only had it a couple a days, but boy am I impressed! The size is great for ironing and assembling blocks, the surface is smooth and the pad is thick and substantial. My seams have never been so flat! Great investment and addition to my quilting studio!

> 3 dayI have used this a lot this week and really like that it is so light and that the heat does not penetrate through to the underside. It suggests not using steam which is the only downside, but you can use Best Press with no problems. The board I was using before was heavy, but very study. I had to quit using it as I was having trouble lifting it. This is so much better. I recommend it. I only wish I had bought a larger size, but this will work just fine.

> 3 dayI bought this wool mat to replace a Steady Betty I purchased to press quilt-as-you-go blocks. I was not happy with the foam surface on the Steady Betty and while it is great to hold quilt block pieces to see how they work together, the foam is such that it is not suitable as an ironing surface (we felt it might melt). I love this small 13.5 square wool mat. It is perfect to use with my miniature iron to press quilt-as-as you blocks.

> 3 dayAlright, it does just lay there. But, it does retain heat and reflect it back to the fabric. Fabric does not move while ironing, which means there is much less / or no surprise stretching. This product is really built and wont stretch, tear, pill or do any other thing to ruin its manufacture. You can even stick spare pins into it. Combine it with a clapper and youll have the flattest seam ever!

Greater than one weekIt is nice to be able to put this on a small stand next to my sewing machine and the heat from the iron does not go through.
