I could have dealt with the lack of the decimal point for the °C conversions to °F. A swing in a couple of degrees met my needs. However, lost patience when connecting to Google Assistant and temp was only available in °C. Returned with hope a revised product is developed using °F for US customers in the future.

Update: stopped working after 3 months. With 1500 watt heater. It took it apart , it melted inside Initial review: Dec 2021 I bought this thermostat to control the temperature in a 15x15 room in my basement with out a furnace duct. i am using this room as a home office for work from home during Covid. I bought this in conjunction with a Comfort Zone CZQTV5M Ceiling Mounted Radiant Quartz Heater heat. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07YBH9XVG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 So far the combination has worked flawlessly keeping the room a warm 72 degrees that I set on the wireless thermostat. In the morning, the room is around 59 ot 60 degrees, it takes about 15 minutes to warm the room on the high setting of the heater. The low setting does not keep the room warm enough. I would recommend this heater and thermostat combination and would buy them both again.

OK to configure and connect to Alexa and Google. Programed my heater for the daily schedule based on time and temperature. Sometimes it shuts off and the configuration completely gets reset. Plugin and configure everything, if the power goes off or the internet disconnects or unplug and plug it back all setup goes off. It may be an issue with Smarthings apps. I will try with Alexa or Google to automat and check.

This thermostat performs quite well for the price. A warning to anyone not tech savvy or lucky this is tricky to program. The poorly written manual thats included is a joke. For example its written on box exterior switch between Celsius and Fahrenheit but how to accomplish that is nowhere to be found. I played button poker and finally configured it to work like I needed it to and does quite well. I almost gave up and sent it back.

BLUF: This item does NOT work as advertised. Period. At first, I was very happy with the installation of the plug-in unit with my attic fan. I put the batteries in, adjusted desired settings and within minutes of power up, things seemed grand. My ambient temp was about 89F, so I adjusted the target temp above and below to confirm operation as designed. It performed well. Packed up and headed down to the air conditioned living area and immediately noticed a drop of the ambient temperature to about. At noon in FL on a sunny day...not likely. Well, lets shower and let the system balance out. Minutes later, the ambient or current temperature falls to 78F. Interesting. Its working as if the sensor is in the remote - not the plug-in unit as advertised. The description specifically mentions use for attic fans. If I need to place the remote in the attic to sense the temperature...its not much of a remote, is it? Heres where there is a serious need for clarity in the product: The manual states under Intended Use and Principle of Operation that the product consists of 2 components: a Remote Control Unit with integrated temperature sensor and a plug in socket unit. The description on Amazon reads Temperature Sensor: Ambient temperature is detected automatically by the high-precision temperature sensor on the receiver socket. When current temperature reach to target temperature, the thermostat plug stop heating/cooling to measure the temperature to stay comfortable. So...which is it? I know which configuration it *behaves* like.

Shortly after I received this thermostat and tried setting it up, I was tempted to write a one star review. But once I figured out how to use it, without much help from the minimal instructions that were enclosed, I love it. I am using it to control a space heater in a bedroom. The central heating in our apartment is a problem because of the apartments long distance from the buildings heater boilers. So, I have been using a space heater at night. I have had this problem for several years, and I was never able to find a thermostat arrangement that would help. The problem was that even though the space heater had what it claimed was a thermostat, that thermostat was built into the heater. So there was no way that the heater could keep the room at a desired temperature. But since I put the heater near the outside wall of the bedroom and this thermostat across the room on the far side of the bed, the room has been kept at just the temperature that I set the thermostat. The thermostat and the receptacle plug-in that it comes with appear to be well made, it is solving a vexing problem for me, and I had not previously found any comparable unit, so it deserves five stars. But be aware that it may take you some head scratching to figure out the thermostats user interface. It took me a couple of hours.

This is a review of the Hycency Programmable Smart WiFi Thermostat Plug Outlet (not of the models with the included remote control.) This is a very neat product. Its almost but not quite exactly what I need. Set up, using the Smart Life Android app, was fairly straightforward. The app is not quite as intuitive as it could be, but its possible to figure it out. The app provides for all the features I was looking for: - Basic switch: One can manually (through the app) switch the load on or off - Simple thermostat: One can set a single temperature set-point, and the device will turn the load off/on based on temperature. - Programmable thermostat: One can set time-based set-points, four per day, like most programmable home furnace thermostats. The thermostat works, and from what Ive seen, it regulates temperature very well. (The absolute calibration of the temperature sensor may be off by a couple of degrees, but, if that bothers you, the app provides a way to set a calibration offset to fix that.) Id give this four stars (minus one star for the not-great UI design of the app), except that: There is a sticker on the box which says that the device is rated to switch only a 10 amp load (this is the US 120 volt version of the product). The Amazon listing page for the product clearly states that its rated for a 15 amp load. The product manual which came in the box also says its rated at 15 amps. The product it self (molded into the plastic casing) says 15 amps. The heater I want to use this with draws 12.5 amps. I cant imagine there are very many space heaters or air conditioners that draw less than 10 amps on their high setting. So minus two more stars for false advertising, and for the fact that I cant use this with my heater unless I exceed the specs on the box sticker. This is so close to exactly what I need. Frustrating.

The probe doesnt work, even though Ive plugged and unplugged the probe, reset factory data in the device settings, then also removed the device entirely from the app and reconnected several times. It then displayed simple thermostat and said it was 34 Celsius but then the probe shows so responsiveness to temp changes like the heat of my hand or blowing on it, not by even 1 or 2 degrees. I have a mercury thermometer in my room to cross reference

Good addition to our cooler control. Set the temp you want and forget it. Remote can be moved to each room to check the temp in each room. Easy to set up and easy to set the desired temp. Would definitely buy again
