> 24 hourThis device ceased to be usable just days after return period was up, and destroyed the plug to my space heater. Some other issues: (1) After 1 week, the remote shut down without warning and my brand new AAA batteries, which I had just installed, needed to be replaced. (2) After 2 weeks, the plug started falling out of the outlet socket, making it hard for my space heater to work properly according to the temperature readings. I didnt return it because I wanted to wait to get a replacement thermostat before returning this one. Lo and behold, right when the return period was up, the plug was completely FRIED and STUCK *INTO* the outlet device-- it took me a good 5 minutes of struggling to wrench it out safely to make sure the plug to my space heater was not completely destroyed upon removal. The plug had black marks all over and I had to take some steel wool to remove the pockmarks that had developed all over my plug. I was scared that my space heater was broken, but when I plugged it into my regular outlet, it turned out it was working just fine. This device is destructive to electrical devices! Thankfully, now I use another brand of thermostat plug and it has not caused me these types of problems.

> 24 hourI have an electric fireplace used as a space heater in the winter, but it doesnt have a built-in thermostat. I plugged it into the Hycency outlet, paired the remote, dialed in a setpoint, and placed the remote close to my workspace. It regulated the temperature of the room nicely, switching the fireplace on and off as needed. I should note the first unit I bought arrived with a damaged LCD on the remote, but Amazon swapped the whole unit out quickly and easily. Great performance for the price!

> 24 hourThe problem with using a small space heater is that they either get the room too hot or they constantly short cycle because their own heat triggers their thermostat. You set your space heater to full heat and then plug the heater into the remote outlet. Then put the thermostat somewhere away from the heater in the space you’re wanting to heat and set the temperature you want. The heater will run until you temperature is met. It might take a little getting used to what the thermostat says as to what you want it to be but once you get that figured out, it’s a great little device!

> 24 hourWorks good when set up but the thermostat is flimsy and difficult to program. Programming is frustrating and almost sent it back for that reason. Thermostat dropped from 1 foot to a counter top and came apart and wiped out its programming, then you have to go through it all again. Once you get it set only adjust it up and down, it is so flimsy you will need to protect the thermostat life a snowflake.

> 24 hourThe thermostats (or lack there of) on a cheap window ac unit makes it hard to set a reasonable cooling temperature. This unit does a wonderful job. Plug in the receiver unit in the outlet, plug you ac unit, put the ac unit on a lowest cool, put the batteries I. The j it, follow the configuration, set your temperature and let’s the device turn on and off your unit as required. Doesn’t just do cold - you can use it to control an electric heater (or heat pump - I have one of these on a heat pump unit in an accessory building) as well. Highly recommend this.

> 24 hourI read all of the concerns and I found it easy to set up...<1 minute and it works great. I use it ON/OFF to turn on an electric heater in the bedroom and then turn it off when its time for lights out! I do not use the thermostat so I did not have some issues others did.

> 24 hourThis is a review of the Hycency Programmable Smart WiFi Thermostat Plug Outlet (not of the models with the included remote control.) This is a very neat product. Its almost but not quite exactly what I need. Set up, using the Smart Life Android app, was fairly straightforward. The app is not quite as intuitive as it could be, but its possible to figure it out. The app provides for all the features I was looking for: - Basic switch: One can manually (through the app) switch the load on or off - Simple thermostat: One can set a single temperature set-point, and the device will turn the load off/on based on temperature. - Programmable thermostat: One can set time-based set-points, four per day, like most programmable home furnace thermostats. The thermostat works, and from what Ive seen, it regulates temperature very well. (The absolute calibration of the temperature sensor may be off by a couple of degrees, but, if that bothers you, the app provides a way to set a calibration offset to fix that.) Id give this four stars (minus one star for the not-great UI design of the app), except that: There is a sticker on the box which says that the device is rated to switch only a 10 amp load (this is the US 120 volt version of the product). The Amazon listing page for the product clearly states that its rated for a 15 amp load. The product manual which came in the box also says its rated at 15 amps. The product it self (molded into the plastic casing) says 15 amps. The heater I want to use this with draws 12.5 amps. I cant imagine there are very many space heaters or air conditioners that draw less than 10 amps on their high setting. So minus two more stars for false advertising, and for the fact that I cant use this with my heater unless I exceed the specs on the box sticker. This is so close to exactly what I need. Frustrating.

> 24 hourI use this device to control a fan that cools the area I have an ice machine. I have 2 fans that run independent of each other and both are controlled by their own plug.

> 24 hourIm an American and like my temperature in Fahrenheit. The instruction manual did not say how to switch from Commie Celsius. The Amazon product description has the process above. Other than that, it works exactly as advertised. Hooked up to a window AC unit in the wood shed and now I have a thermostat.

> 24 hourMounting bracket should include a small screw with it. But other than that everything else works.
