I use this device to control a fan that cools the area I have an ice machine. I have 2 fans that run independent of each other and both are controlled by their own plug.

I bought it to put in my garage and run a fan when it gets hot in there. It works well and serves the purpose I needed it for.

Two preventable design flaws: 1) instead of making the device wide and short, they’ve made it circular and bulky in a way that partially covers two receptacle outlets instead of one… the thermometer port is also positioned on the bottom of the device in such a way that prevents other plugs from sharing your receptacle. 2) the app has a bunch of poorly labeled settings, random use of underscores in naming, and just feels like it was designed by an engineer and not a designer. Overall, lackluster product for the price.

Couldnt find any identification to tell which icon was for heat or cold temperature setting so I assumed the star symbol represented heat. I was wrong. Once I figured that out I got it to work. No trouble accidentally choosing fahrenheit setting. I was still going to send it back because I bought it to control the electric heater (1800 watts) in my outdoor heated cat cabin. I wanted to be able to adjust the heat without going into the cabin and disturbing the cats. I didnt realize the temperature sensor was in the remote. But I was able to figure a work around by setting the remote just inside a window and setting the temperature to shut off at 58 degrees which kept the cabin away from the partially open window at a constant 70 in the rest of the cabin. I monitored the cabin by looking at wall temperature gauge through the door window. Ive been very happy so far with occasional fine tuning depending how cold it is outside.

I read all of the concerns and I found it easy to set up...<1 minute and it works great. I use it ON/OFF to turn on an electric heater in the bedroom and then turn it off when its time for lights out! I do not use the thermostat so I did not have some issues others did.

It’s good device but for some reason the screen is defective and I ordered 3 of them. All of them have defective screen, but works with 1500 watt heater. 2 years ago I ordered it also from another one seller, have no issue, for the last month most of my orders on Amazon are defective or been used.

Despite the not great instructions I got this device set up reasonably quickly and am convinced it works and is accurate (temp matched the reading on the baby monitor). That all said, I put it away 5 min after setting it up because even with black electrical tape over the indicator light, there is a bright green flash visible every minute or so and I will have to return the item.

I got the Wifi version, ordered 2 of them. One of them works very well, the other doesnt power on at all, a complete dud. The one that works was easy to pair with the Smart Life App and it works with Alexa as well. Amazon says theyre sending a replacement for the dead one and it should be here tomorrow. Im using them (well, one of them right now) to control 2 5,000 btu window air conditioners (and probably 1,000w heaters in the winter.) Make sure you dont exceed 1,100w, thats all it can take, and unfortunately most space heaters are 1,500w. Luckily, most 5k btu air conditioners only use like 400-500w on high. One criticism is that, if the unit is off, Alexa cant change the temperature setting. You have to tell her to turn it on first, then tell her to change the temp. I hope the replacement for the dud works. Well see tomorrow.

Shortly after I received this thermostat and tried setting it up, I was tempted to write a one star review. But once I figured out how to use it, without much help from the minimal instructions that were enclosed, I love it. I am using it to control a space heater in a bedroom. The central heating in our apartment is a problem because of the apartments long distance from the buildings heater boilers. So, I have been using a space heater at night. I have had this problem for several years, and I was never able to find a thermostat arrangement that would help. The problem was that even though the space heater had what it claimed was a thermostat, that thermostat was built into the heater. So there was no way that the heater could keep the room at a desired temperature. But since I put the heater near the outside wall of the bedroom and this thermostat across the room on the far side of the bed, the room has been kept at just the temperature that I set the thermostat. The thermostat and the receptacle plug-in that it comes with appear to be well made, it is solving a vexing problem for me, and I had not previously found any comparable unit, so it deserves five stars. But be aware that it may take you some head scratching to figure out the thermostats user interface. It took me a couple of hours.

The thermostat feature stopped working right outside the return window. Now all I have is an overpriced smart plug that doesn’t do the one thing I want it to do (turn a window AC on/off at a certain temp). Very disappointing.
