> 3 dayThis device ceased to be usable just days after return period was up, and destroyed the plug to my space heater. Some other issues: (1) After 1 week, the remote shut down without warning and my brand new AAA batteries, which I had just installed, needed to be replaced. (2) After 2 weeks, the plug started falling out of the outlet socket, making it hard for my space heater to work properly according to the temperature readings. I didnt return it because I wanted to wait to get a replacement thermostat before returning this one. Lo and behold, right when the return period was up, the plug was completely FRIED and STUCK *INTO* the outlet device-- it took me a good 5 minutes of struggling to wrench it out safely to make sure the plug to my space heater was not completely destroyed upon removal. The plug had black marks all over and I had to take some steel wool to remove the pockmarks that had developed all over my plug. I was scared that my space heater was broken, but when I plugged it into my regular outlet, it turned out it was working just fine. This device is destructive to electrical devices! Thankfully, now I use another brand of thermostat plug and it has not caused me these types of problems.

> 3 dayThe design of the outlet on this is such that it doesnt hold a plug well. Because of that the plug backed out and the heater I had plugged into it never came on. Luckily, that didnt matter much, this time. It does sense the temperature and turn on and off like its supposed to, but without tying the plug down where it cant fall out of the outlet, that doesnt matter much. Im pretty sure the house didnt move much while I was gone, so I dont think it was shaken loose. It wasnt where any critters could get to it, so I dont think it was knocked loose. Im pretty sure it just fell out, because the outlet simply doesnt hold a plug in place.

> 3 dayGood addition to our cooler control. Set the temp you want and forget it. Remote can be moved to each room to check the temp in each room. Easy to set up and easy to set the desired temp. Would definitely buy again

> 3 dayIm sure youve read other reviews of this here but yes its cheaply made electronics. Yes the instructions are...confusing at best. And yes, Ive. Plugs fit very likely UNLESS you use a three prong appliance then it fits well enough. I cant stress enough DO NOT USE A TWO PRONG DEVICE IN THIS PRODUCT, the will hang out and Im sure you can Denise the numerous hazards with that. I did use a three prong appliance in this and it lasted about 14 months before it unexplainably quit wirking

> 3 dayI purchased two of these earlier this year to remotely manage freeze prevention at a cabin. The product capabilities were excellent but both went out - one of which outside of the surprisingly short return period. Well see how this third one holds up...

> 3 dayI have an electric fireplace used as a space heater in the winter, but it doesnt have a built-in thermostat. I plugged it into the Hycency outlet, paired the remote, dialed in a setpoint, and placed the remote close to my workspace. It regulated the temperature of the room nicely, switching the fireplace on and off as needed. I should note the first unit I bought arrived with a damaged LCD on the remote, but Amazon swapped the whole unit out quickly and easily. Great performance for the price!

> 3 dayBLUF: This item does NOT work as advertised. Period. At first, I was very happy with the installation of the plug-in unit with my attic fan. I put the batteries in, adjusted desired settings and within minutes of power up, things seemed grand. My ambient temp was about 89F, so I adjusted the target temp above and below to confirm operation as designed. It performed well. Packed up and headed down to the air conditioned living area and immediately noticed a drop of the ambient temperature to about. At noon in FL on a sunny day...not likely. Well, lets shower and let the system balance out. Minutes later, the ambient or current temperature falls to 78F. Interesting. Its working as if the sensor is in the remote - not the plug-in unit as advertised. The description specifically mentions use for attic fans. If I need to place the remote in the attic to sense the temperature...its not much of a remote, is it? Heres where there is a serious need for clarity in the product: The manual states under Intended Use and Principle of Operation that the product consists of 2 components: a Remote Control Unit with integrated temperature sensor and a plug in socket unit. The description on Amazon reads Temperature Sensor: Ambient temperature is detected automatically by the high-precision temperature sensor on the receiver socket. When current temperature reach to target temperature, the thermostat plug stop heating/cooling to measure the temperature to stay comfortable. So...which is it? I know which configuration it *behaves* like.

31-05-2025The thermostat feature stopped working right outside the return window. Now all I have is an overpriced smart plug that doesn’t do the one thing I want it to do (turn a window AC on/off at a certain temp). Very disappointing.

> 3 dayHad ordered two of them, one did not work correctly. Got a replacement for that one and they are both very good now.

> 3 dayIve got a small shed that Im storing things in that shouldnt freeze. Ive got a 1500W electric oil heater in it and a Govee Bluetooth temperature monitor so I can use my phone to check the shed temp from inside my house (since its close). I tried 4(!) different simple plug in thermostats with the fixed on/off points and none of them actually worked. Returned them all. Went up in price to this unit and its been working great since. I have it set at 40F and the thermometer data shows nice tight limits from just under 40 to just over 42 when it kicks off. The instructions suck and they dont tell you how to change from Celsius to Fahrenheit. But I found that info in the answered questions section here on Amazons page for the item. ********************** SEE ATTACHED PICTURE. AND THE SCARIEST PART IS THAT IM 90% SURE THAT THIS HAPPENED WHEN NOTHING WAS PLUGGED INTO THE PRODUCT. (IT WAS PLUGGED INTO THE WALL, OBVIOUSLY, BUT I HAD UNPLUGGED THE HEATER THAT WAS PLUGGED INTO THE DEVICE PREVIOUSLY)
