Greater than one weekDespite the not great instructions I got this device set up reasonably quickly and am convinced it works and is accurate (temp matched the reading on the baby monitor). That all said, I put it away 5 min after setting it up because even with black electrical tape over the indicator light, there is a bright green flash visible every minute or so and I will have to return the item.

> 3 dayUpdate: stopped working after 3 months. With 1500 watt heater. It took it apart , it melted inside Initial review: Dec 2021 I bought this thermostat to control the temperature in a 15x15 room in my basement with out a furnace duct. i am using this room as a home office for work from home during Covid. I bought this in conjunction with a Comfort Zone CZQTV5M Ceiling Mounted Radiant Quartz Heater heat. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07YBH9XVG/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 So far the combination has worked flawlessly keeping the room a warm 72 degrees that I set on the wireless thermostat. In the morning, the room is around 59 ot 60 degrees, it takes about 15 minutes to warm the room on the high setting of the heater. The low setting does not keep the room warm enough. I would recommend this heater and thermostat combination and would buy them both again.

Greater than one weekThis is a review of the Hycency Programmable Smart WiFi Thermostat Plug Outlet (not of the models with the included remote control.) This is a very neat product. Its almost but not quite exactly what I need. Set up, using the Smart Life Android app, was fairly straightforward. The app is not quite as intuitive as it could be, but its possible to figure it out. The app provides for all the features I was looking for: - Basic switch: One can manually (through the app) switch the load on or off - Simple thermostat: One can set a single temperature set-point, and the device will turn the load off/on based on temperature. - Programmable thermostat: One can set time-based set-points, four per day, like most programmable home furnace thermostats. The thermostat works, and from what Ive seen, it regulates temperature very well. (The absolute calibration of the temperature sensor may be off by a couple of degrees, but, if that bothers you, the app provides a way to set a calibration offset to fix that.) Id give this four stars (minus one star for the not-great UI design of the app), except that: There is a sticker on the box which says that the device is rated to switch only a 10 amp load (this is the US 120 volt version of the product). The Amazon listing page for the product clearly states that its rated for a 15 amp load. The product manual which came in the box also says its rated at 15 amps. The product it self (molded into the plastic casing) says 15 amps. The heater I want to use this with draws 12.5 amps. I cant imagine there are very many space heaters or air conditioners that draw less than 10 amps on their high setting. So minus two more stars for false advertising, and for the fact that I cant use this with my heater unless I exceed the specs on the box sticker. This is so close to exactly what I need. Frustrating.

> 3 dayThe thermostats (or lack there of) on a cheap window ac unit makes it hard to set a reasonable cooling temperature. This unit does a wonderful job. Plug in the receiver unit in the outlet, plug you ac unit, put the ac unit on a lowest cool, put the batteries I. The j it, follow the configuration, set your temperature and let’s the device turn on and off your unit as required. Doesn’t just do cold - you can use it to control an electric heater (or heat pump - I have one of these on a heat pump unit in an accessory building) as well. Highly recommend this.

> 3 dayI purchased two of these earlier this year to remotely manage freeze prevention at a cabin. The product capabilities were excellent but both went out - one of which outside of the surprisingly short return period. Well see how this third one holds up...

> 3 dayDoes what it says. One issue Im having is that I set a schedule in the app where it turns off when I leave a distance from home, turns back on upon return. Unfortunately, it just turns on to manual setting, it doesnt go back to the set programmed schedule. I have written the company asking for this update, hasnt happened yet. So, now my schedule gets turned off automatically if I leave the vicinity, and I have to manually turn back on when I return. Kinda annoying.
