Greater than one weekRequires 2.4GHz WiFi and a phone or tablet set to the same. You can set the phone back to 5 after its paired. A little tricky to get it paired up to WiFi and the app, but it worked with a little patience. The app is a bit clunky but functional and does what you want with a little finagling. I would have been happy with it but it only worked for 6 days before the temperature sense went to -3F and stayed on in heat mode beyond the set temperature. Disconnecting and reconnecting the sensor, power cycling the unit made no difference.

> 3 dayFirst off…. The company that makes the product doesn’t have its name on the box. I had to look up my order details in order to try and do troubleshooting on this thermostat online. The instructions couldn’t be any vaguer and one of the complaints on their reviews was regarding the issue I was having about trying to change the settings from Celsius to Fahrenheit. Although the reviewers advice did not work for me. I shouldn’t have this much aggravation on a brand new product. Not user friendly at all.

> 3 dayBLUF: This item does NOT work as advertised. Period. At first, I was very happy with the installation of the plug-in unit with my attic fan. I put the batteries in, adjusted desired settings and within minutes of power up, things seemed grand. My ambient temp was about 89F, so I adjusted the target temp above and below to confirm operation as designed. It performed well. Packed up and headed down to the air conditioned living area and immediately noticed a drop of the ambient temperature to about. At noon in FL on a sunny day...not likely. Well, lets shower and let the system balance out. Minutes later, the ambient or current temperature falls to 78F. Interesting. Its working as if the sensor is in the remote - not the plug-in unit as advertised. The description specifically mentions use for attic fans. If I need to place the remote in the attic to sense the temperature...its not much of a remote, is it? Heres where there is a serious need for clarity in the product: The manual states under Intended Use and Principle of Operation that the product consists of 2 components: a Remote Control Unit with integrated temperature sensor and a plug in socket unit. The description on Amazon reads Temperature Sensor: Ambient temperature is detected automatically by the high-precision temperature sensor on the receiver socket. When current temperature reach to target temperature, the thermostat plug stop heating/cooling to measure the temperature to stay comfortable. So...which is it? I know which configuration it *behaves* like.

> 3 dayThe probe doesnt work, even though Ive plugged and unplugged the probe, reset factory data in the device settings, then also removed the device entirely from the app and reconnected several times. It then displayed simple thermostat and said it was 34 Celsius but then the probe shows so responsiveness to temp changes like the heat of my hand or blowing on it, not by even 1 or 2 degrees. I have a mercury thermometer in my room to cross reference

Greater than one weekI did not expect the thermostat to be 100% accurate. It seems to turn on after the temp drops about .9 degrees, but thats fine. I think if it was too accurate, my heater would turn on more frequently. Regardless, Im fine with this solution, and Im staying warm in my office.

> 3 dayEasy to use, works well, just not for what we needed it for. We were going to plug a space heater in with it that doesnt have a temperature control, but it didnt seem to support it. Used fine with other lights and such, though. We did find a use for it, so at least there is that.

> 3 dayI use this device to control a fan that cools the area I have an ice machine. I have 2 fans that run independent of each other and both are controlled by their own plug.

> 3 dayGreat product works well as designed. However, I wished the thermostat was located in the outlet plug in instead of the remote control. The beeping and light can be annoying for a bedroom.
