This device ceased to be usable just days after return period was up, and destroyed the plug to my space heater. Some other issues: (1) After 1 week, the remote shut down without warning and my brand new AAA batteries, which I had just installed, needed to be replaced. (2) After 2 weeks, the plug started falling out of the outlet socket, making it hard for my space heater to work properly according to the temperature readings. I didnt return it because I wanted to wait to get a replacement thermostat before returning this one. Lo and behold, right when the return period was up, the plug was completely FRIED and STUCK *INTO* the outlet device-- it took me a good 5 minutes of struggling to wrench it out safely to make sure the plug to my space heater was not completely destroyed upon removal. The plug had black marks all over and I had to take some steel wool to remove the pockmarks that had developed all over my plug. I was scared that my space heater was broken, but when I plugged it into my regular outlet, it turned out it was working just fine. This device is destructive to electrical devices! Thankfully, now I use another brand of thermostat plug and it has not caused me these types of problems.

I really love these devices. I am using them in our fifth wheel to ensure the dogs are comfortable when we step out to a restaurant. We keep the a/c thermostat active in case the outdoor temperature sores from 32F to 80F in a matter of hours, usually around noon. Bought two last year but Snowmagedon rolling blackouts in Texas shorted out both of the outlet controllers and my space heaters. This year I bought two more, one in white and one in black so I could keep the remotes straight. I kept the old remotes from last season just because they work great as thermometers independently of the controllers.

Works, BUT the hysteresis is a bit wide. It tracks F degrees to one tenth in the display, but won’t turn on or off until beyond your desired temp. So it will turn on just when your getting too cold and turn off after your sweating.

Good solution to control Amaze solid state heater. I heard from other reviewers that the 2 required AAA batteries are used up quickly. We’ll see

Mounting bracket should include a small screw with it. But other than that everything else works.

I purchased two of these earlier this year to remotely manage freeze prevention at a cabin. The product capabilities were excellent but both went out - one of which outside of the surprisingly short return period. Well see how this third one holds up...

The thermostat feature stopped working right outside the return window. Now all I have is an overpriced smart plug that doesn’t do the one thing I want it to do (turn a window AC on/off at a certain temp). Very disappointing.

It doea exactly what it says it will, very easy to work with.

The design of the outlet on this is such that it doesnt hold a plug well. Because of that the plug backed out and the heater I had plugged into it never came on. Luckily, that didnt matter much, this time. It does sense the temperature and turn on and off like its supposed to, but without tying the plug down where it cant fall out of the outlet, that doesnt matter much. Im pretty sure the house didnt move much while I was gone, so I dont think it was shaken loose. It wasnt where any critters could get to it, so I dont think it was knocked loose. Im pretty sure it just fell out, because the outlet simply doesnt hold a plug in place.

Requires 2.4GHz WiFi and a phone or tablet set to the same. You can set the phone back to 5 after its paired. A little tricky to get it paired up to WiFi and the app, but it worked with a little patience. The app is a bit clunky but functional and does what you want with a little finagling. I would have been happy with it but it only worked for 6 days before the temperature sense went to -3F and stayed on in heat mode beyond the set temperature. Disconnecting and reconnecting the sensor, power cycling the unit made no difference.
