> 24 hourI bought it to put in my garage and run a fan when it gets hot in there. It works well and serves the purpose I needed it for.

> 24 hourThis is a review of the Hycency Programmable Smart WiFi Thermostat Plug Outlet (not of the models with the included remote control.) This is a very neat product. Its almost but not quite exactly what I need. Set up, using the Smart Life Android app, was fairly straightforward. The app is not quite as intuitive as it could be, but its possible to figure it out. The app provides for all the features I was looking for: - Basic switch: One can manually (through the app) switch the load on or off - Simple thermostat: One can set a single temperature set-point, and the device will turn the load off/on based on temperature. - Programmable thermostat: One can set time-based set-points, four per day, like most programmable home furnace thermostats. The thermostat works, and from what Ive seen, it regulates temperature very well. (The absolute calibration of the temperature sensor may be off by a couple of degrees, but, if that bothers you, the app provides a way to set a calibration offset to fix that.) Id give this four stars (minus one star for the not-great UI design of the app), except that: There is a sticker on the box which says that the device is rated to switch only a 10 amp load (this is the US 120 volt version of the product). The Amazon listing page for the product clearly states that its rated for a 15 amp load. The product manual which came in the box also says its rated at 15 amps. The product it self (molded into the plastic casing) says 15 amps. The heater I want to use this with draws 12.5 amps. I cant imagine there are very many space heaters or air conditioners that draw less than 10 amps on their high setting. So minus two more stars for false advertising, and for the fact that I cant use this with my heater unless I exceed the specs on the box sticker. This is so close to exactly what I need. Frustrating.

> 24 hourI got the Wifi version, ordered 2 of them. One of them works very well, the other doesnt power on at all, a complete dud. The one that works was easy to pair with the Smart Life App and it works with Alexa as well. Amazon says theyre sending a replacement for the dead one and it should be here tomorrow. Im using them (well, one of them right now) to control 2 5,000 btu window air conditioners (and probably 1,000w heaters in the winter.) Make sure you dont exceed 1,100w, thats all it can take, and unfortunately most space heaters are 1,500w. Luckily, most 5k btu air conditioners only use like 400-500w on high. One criticism is that, if the unit is off, Alexa cant change the temperature setting. You have to tell her to turn it on first, then tell her to change the temp. I hope the replacement for the dud works. Well see tomorrow.

> 24 hourTook quite a while to research how to get it from C to F for temp reading... finally found incorrect directions on how to reset and program it to F. Using the incorrect instructions, then trial and error we figured out how... the unit is also supposed to display the battery strength - mine does not. Given the bad reviews on batteries not lasting, this is an important missing item.... Ill give it a shot anyway - see what happens.....

> 24 hourMaybe mine was a defect. Everything worked great but the plug always felt loose. Anything I would plug into it, it just didnt feel like it would grab. I tried bending the prongs but didnt help. Eventually it melted and I had to put it out of commission. Sucks because it was a great product. I was ready to buy about 4 more.

> 24 hourFirst off…. The company that makes the product doesn’t have its name on the box. I had to look up my order details in order to try and do troubleshooting on this thermostat online. The instructions couldn’t be any vaguer and one of the complaints on their reviews was regarding the issue I was having about trying to change the settings from Celsius to Fahrenheit. Although the reviewers advice did not work for me. I shouldn’t have this much aggravation on a brand new product. Not user friendly at all.

> 24 hourDespite the not great instructions I got this device set up reasonably quickly and am convinced it works and is accurate (temp matched the reading on the baby monitor). That all said, I put it away 5 min after setting it up because even with black electrical tape over the indicator light, there is a bright green flash visible every minute or so and I will have to return the item.

> 24 hourI was a bit worried because some reviews shows the device almost catching on fire so I watched it like a hawk the first week or so. Checked on it and it has always been cool at the plug. I have an old house w/o whole house heating so in my second bedroom I have a cute wood console with a heater in the middle of it. The kind that have a pretend fireplace. Anyways if I left it on the room would get too hot or if left it off too cold. This little device works great at regulating the temperature. The remote is tricky to change from Celsius to Fahrenheit but I managed. That’s the only negative. I recommend this product if something changes I’ll update.

> 24 hourUnit connected to smart life app after 5 tries, took 3 days to sync to Alexa. However, the unit does not detect tge current temperature, so its either on or off. I got the unit in order to have smart control over the heater, but without the current temp, setting a target temp has no effect. Additionally, unit keeps losing connection to network, so even turning on/off has to be done manually. Basically, this ended up being nothing more than a manual switch at the outlet instead of a networked, controllable device. Waste of money.

> 24 hourI use this in my Office Shed at home to run a window A/C unit so that the fan is not running all the time. The hysteresis is 2-3 deg f. not a huge complaint but that makes for a 4-6 deg f swing in room temperature and comfort. The thermostat part is a bit finicky with the batteries and does funny things to the display when its not positioned just right. Switching from heating to cooling is very cumbersome. I have to keep the manual around just to operate the thing. 4/5 works to keep temperature 2/5 ease of use 2/5 would recommend a friend buy it
