RaceFace 104mm Single Chain Ring

I bought this to convert my Stumpjumper from a 2x10 to a 1x10. All I did was replace the old chain rings with this and remove the front derailleur. Super easy set up and no dropped chains. I do have a Sram clutch rear derailleur (X9 type 2) to help with chain retention. I like the simplicity of the 1x10 and this gets you a 1x10 divetrain for a great price compared to a Sram 1x10 set up. For me a 30th chain ring with an 11-36 cassette works good.

If youre looking at this chainring, you probably already know why youre looking for one. Buy it. I run this on both of my mountain bikes, 34t on a nukeproof mega 1x11 27.5 and 30t of my 1x10 sc highball 29. Throw on a bash/guide and youll have a bulletproof all-mountain drivetrain.

Helps keep chain from coming off because of the narrow wide profile. Color is darker than whats pictured, though.

This thing is amazing I have had it for about 3 weeks now and I love it. It works amazing and I havent had my chain drop. This can very well be run without a chain guide

Couldnt be happier with my new 1x10 Race Face setup. I have this paired with a SRAM X7 (NON-clutch/type 2), and havent had a single drop. After resizing the chain (dropped about 4 links), you will surely notice how snug the narrow/wide chainring fits. I purchased the Origin8 (steel) bolts, and some blue locktite to complete the install. Make sure you spend the extra $3 on marine grease to re-lube your cranks and bearings. Also, keep in mind, a regular 8mm (or whatever size you need) allen key may not provide enough torque to loosen the crank bolt. A $3 8mm allen key ratchet adapter from HD did the trick.

Top quality product, fit on the 2008 Cannondale Rize 4 nice and easy. Went from 27 speed to 10 and this bad boy has made it look mean.
