> 24 hourSuper easy install. Everything fit exactly as expected for a proper brand, no grinding away to get things to fit like with some of the knock-offs. Running it on my converted old mountain bike that is now a commuter. Have been running 1x7 for awhile but despite a chain guide was still struggling with dropped chains due to crappy 7 speed derailleurs and trying to get away with using a standard middle ring that still had shifting ramps. Things were super smooth on the first ride and it appears to have a decent tension on the chain despite it being a much larger 7 spd than the 9-11 its designed for. No issues on the first ride after a week of dropping a chain virtually every day. So I would say its working well so far. It may not be as effective on the larger chains but it appears to help.

> 24 hourMy wifes new bike came with this same chain ring in a 32T as a 1x11(10-42) setup. The bike has a 27.5 wheel so the 32T was a little too tall of a gear for her since she is just starting out. Basically, with a 32T front, 42T rear and 27.5 tires, her first gear was equivalent to somewhere between 3 and 4 on her old 26 bike. I grabbed this 30T which dropped the 1st gear down to be about equivalent to 2nd gear on her old bike. The cool part is that with the 11 speed cassette and 27.5 wheels, her 11th gear is still taller than her old bike was on the middle chain ring. The only thing to be aware of is that the 32T was able to slide off of the crank without needing to remove it however, the 30T has a smaller inner diameter and required that the crank be pulled to get it on from the back side. This meant I needed to buy the Park Tool CCP-44 since Racefaces cranks are press fit on and do not self extract like the FSA crank on my bike. Just make sure you have the ability to get your crank off before you try to install this.

> 24 hourThis chain ring rocks! Super solid and well-built, chain doesnt skip at all. This is the second Race Face Chain Ring I have bought because I was looking for a smaller -T size. Will buy again in a heart beat.

> 24 hourThis is the cheapest Ive ever seen this chainring. It came in Raceface packaging with a Raceface Decal. It installed on my 2013(2014?) sram GXP cranks without any adapters. I simply removed the two old chainrings, I was converting from a 2x10 to 1x10 drivetrain, and then attached the Raceface ring to the large ring spot. I have a Shimano XT shadow plus rear derail so it is a clutch system. I have been riding it for a month or so and have yet to drop a chain. It is slightly louder because it is narrow wide (sounds like there is grit in the chain even when clean) but it is a small price to pay for simplicity and cleaner handlebar set up. The 32 tooth was the right size for me living in Montana. My rides generally consist of half up half down with about 1500+ feet of vert and I rarely am left wanting for more gears. Ive also yet to run out of gears on the descents. If you need to earn your descents this is a good size. And for the price once you get stronger you can always pick up a 34 or 36 tooth.
