RaceFace 104mm Single Chain Ring

> 3 dayThis is the cheapest Ive ever seen this chainring. It came in Raceface packaging with a Raceface Decal. It installed on my 2013(2014?) sram GXP cranks without any adapters. I simply removed the two old chainrings, I was converting from a 2x10 to 1x10 drivetrain, and then attached the Raceface ring to the large ring spot. I have a Shimano XT shadow plus rear derail so it is a clutch system. I have been riding it for a month or so and have yet to drop a chain. It is slightly louder because it is narrow wide (sounds like there is grit in the chain even when clean) but it is a small price to pay for simplicity and cleaner handlebar set up. The 32 tooth was the right size for me living in Montana. My rides generally consist of half up half down with about 1500+ feet of vert and I rarely am left wanting for more gears. Ive also yet to run out of gears on the descents. If you need to earn your descents this is a good size. And for the price once you get stronger you can always pick up a 34 or 36 tooth.

> 3 dayGreat product. Just what I needed as I converted to 1x and did not want To add a chain guide.

> 3 dayFive stars, superb build quality, i initially ordered a 36t but then realized that was too big for the trails in my area so Im going to order a 32t. My fault. I have no complaints with the chain ring , it has yet to drop a chain , even on the roughest trails. The teeth on this thing are super solid.

> 3 dayWas not able to mount chainring with standard size chainring bolts. The holes are just slightly too small for any of the chainring bolts that I have. Im not sure what size chainring bolts this chainring needs since chainring bolt sizes are pretty universal. Then again, its possible that Im just being dumb, given that 400 other people seem to have installed these chainrings without any trouble. Edit: took the chainring to my local bike shop. They dug around in their shop and found some bolts that fit. They said they had never seen this issue before. Based on the information they were able to glean from their distributors website, it appears that its only the 30 tooth chainring that has this issue.

> 3 dayBest upgrade I made to my 29er HT Stumpjumper. Using an X-7 shifter and a X9 RD. Shifts fine. No issues with dropping chain. Have this on a 1x9 rig. If you are considering going 1x. Dont think, just buy this. The mod is super easy.

> 3 dayI set this up with a Wolftooth 42t and it works great. The gearing is plenty low and I dont miss the high gears.

Greater than one weekI bought the 30T to replace the 32T that came on my bike. Works great, bolted on super easy. No additional hardware was needed. The 30T comes with the threads build in to the chainring unlike the 32T and larger.
