> 3 dayKeeps my chain on its best behavior for a cheap 1x9 conversion (with an older X-7 rear derailleur). 38 teeth has been a great compromise for a rigid 26er on slicks set up for a street commuter. I still have plenty of top speed and have never had a problem with steep road climbs. For any technical singletrack Id want less teeth. I have dropped the chain once or twice while hopping around on a rigid frame, but this is definitely one of those perfectly simple inventions to solve an old problem 99% of the time.

Greater than one weekQuality is great, easy installation and looks great on the bike. I will be ordering the 30 tooth for other application also.

> 3 dayThis is one of the best upgrades I have made in a long time. I thought I was going to miss having all of the extra gearing, but I really dont miss it at all. I went with a 30T and left the original 10-speed cassette intact. No need for a wolf-tooth and any rear cassette. After a few rides, my legs were plenty strong and all I notice is that I have one less thing to fumble around with on my left hand and that I still have 95% of my original gearing options. I have this paired with a clutched rear derailleur and have not dropped a chain once. No chain guide needed! Just beware - the 30T can only be installed with the race face graphics facing outward due to the spacing provided on that side so that the chain doesnt rub against your cranks. Larger tooth configs may be installed either side facing out.

> 3 dayFirst ride and it bent with ease after going over and hardly hitting stump. Ive hit a lot of stumps and rocks with minor teeth damage but never bent the entire ring. It bent almost 45 degree between two bolt holes.

Greater than one weekSo far, I noticed much better, but not absolute chain retention. A necessity for any 1x system. At this point I cannot speak for long term durability. Would be great if they made a narrow/wide chainring in steel.
