I use this mouse for for FPS, MMO, and for Osu! (whatever category that would fall under.) The mouse at first glance was amazing, fully customizable keys, complicated Macros, 16400 DPI, 12 side keys, ergonomically legit. I was blown away. Then after a couple of weeks of using it I noticed some things... After a long day of playing nothing but Osu!, (A game where you constantly are spamming Mouse 1 and Mouse 2) Mouse 1 started to double click when I only clicked it once. Wasnt that big of a deal, as the double click was extremely close together, so it only messed me up occasionally. The next day the side buttons stopped working. Replugged everything and it started working again. No biggie. Eventually, when I used my friends mouse, and switched back, I realized that this mouse has Mouse acceleration, even though the settings were turned to no mouse acceleration. To test the mouse acceleration, I would set my keyboard to a measured distance away from my mouse, then hit my mouse into the keyboard (the standard way of testing,) but two or three times of that, the Mouse 1 and Mouse 2 switched. No big deal, since all the keys are customizable, so I just switched them. All of the problems I had werent enough to make me stop using the mouse, as a very small amount of mouse acceleration isnt enough to make me ditch it. Pros: Fully customizable keys and colors (excluding scroll LED, which is set for DPI level) 12 side keys for MMOs or just anything that has a lot of hotkeys Ergonomic and aesthetically pleasing Adjustable mouse speed and DPI Shoelace like chord. Amazingly smooth bottom. Least amount of friction ive ever had on a mouse. It has weights for people who want more weight. Usually comes with the weights already inside the mouse Cons: Fragile (After hitting it against my keyboard Mouse 1 and Mouse 2 switched... For some reason...) Buggy (sometimes the side keys dont work, but I just unplug and plug it back in and it works, sometimes mouse 1 double clicks) Will always have SOME mouse acceleration, barely noticeable, unless you play something that requires lots of fast accuracy, like CSGO or Osu!

So my Razer Naga died a spectacular death on raid night of all nights and I couldnt find a replacement in town. I came here to get a new one and nearly ordered the Logitech mmo mouse but saw this one and decided to take a chance on this one. Truth be told, I was kind of afraid at first - it is a gaming mouse made in China to compete with Razer and Logitech from a company Ive never heard of. Its a beautiful little mouse for the price. The Perdition has a nice feel to it. The weights came in my mouse and I havent removed any as I like it to have a bit of weight so it doesnt go sailing off my desk (the teflon pads are really slippery) and the mouse itself has a nice pebbled coating that just feels nice. The DPI is extremely easy to turn up and down (16400 is kind of high - a slight twitch will send it flying - but you can change it from the mouse itself so its really simple to play with. To be honest, this mouse arrived 5 minutes before the start of my second raid in WoW. I installed the software off of Redragons site and I plugged this mouse in and it just worked off the jump. I had to remap the 11 and 12 buttons to work with - and = but it had no issues. Its smooth and precise, its comfortable to hold, the lights arent obnoxious and dont get hot to the touch. The buttons on the side are curved and it took a little practice to master but after an hour or so it felt really natural. The instructions claim the mouse might not be as responsive on a dark surface but I am using it on a black Rocketfish gaming pad with no problems. I dont seem to have the scroll wheel issues other people are commenting about. The scroll wheel feels about the same as my Naga did. A little clicky in a purely tactile sense that feels way smoother than I expected it would given the reviews. Overall I think this mouse is great - especially given that its cheaper than the other leading MMO mice. Its quality made, doesnt suffer the issues with static that my Naga did and I seriously plugged and played with it. I only opened the software after I had it plugged in and had been playing with it a bit because the - and = buttons werent mapped. I intend to purchase another one to have as a backup and will definitely be using this mouse for a long time.

Ive had this mouse for over a year now, and have been quite pleased. My Razer naga molten and ultimate keyboard stopped functioning after about a year, and I vowed never to buy another of their products after that. When I saw this bad boy, I think it had just been released and only had around 30 reviews and was $50 (much cheaper than a naga), but I figured Id stop being suckered in by over-hyped big names like Razer. I decided to try a mouse and brand I had never heard of, and let me tell you...I dont regret it one bit. If youre like me and absolutely NEED 12 or more buttons on a mouse, I dont think there is a better option out there, not at this price point (at the time of writing this, its $35)! As Im sure youre already aware, it comes with little weights to make the mouse heavier, and you can change the colors of the side buttons, scroll wheel and logo to suit your taste (unlike other more expensive mouses). Also, the software that comes with the mouse works as intended, and isnt an absolute p.o.s. nightmare like Razers (one of the worst experiences with any software Ive ever had). My reason for giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is that the mouse wheel is a quite stiff when clicking, as are the side buttons. This isnt really a problem for the buttons - since our thumbs are quite strong - but the scroll wheel has proven to be a bit annoying to use quickly in games, and I often find myself scrolling up as I click because of how much pressure I need to apply, and as such I find myself not wanting to bind any important keys to it. All-in-all, Razer has some nerve charging almost twice the price for a mouse with less features, and should be ashamed of themselves. Redragon, on the other hand, gets my seal of approval.

I was a huge fan of Razer mice, since winning one in a tournament 20 years ago. A couple years ago, I needed a new gaming mouse after my toddler yanked my Naga off the table, breaking one of the buttons off when it hit the floor at a weird angle. I looked on Amazon and saw this VERY highly reviewed mouse that had people claiming they preferred it to the Naga (BLASPHEMY!)...so naturally I was curious, and at $36 (at the time), I figured it was worth trying. I was completely floored by what I received for the price. The quality was every bit as high, IF NOT BETTER, than the Naga. After an initial adjustment period, I found that I was very happy with my purchase. Forward a year and a half, and I got a new Naga as a gift...but found I much preferred the feel of the Perdition. Being a creature of habit, I pushed myself to use the Naga, convinced Id just gotten accustomed to a different shape. I let a nephew use my old Perdition and he loved it, so I let him keep it (with more than a pang of regret). Fast forward to a couple weeks ago, and the buttons on my new Naga started missing clicks for some reason. I went right back to Amazon and was super happy to find the same mouse at an even lower price. Its super easy to set up, and the biggest hurdle was the feel of the thumb pads angled keys. Once I got used to that I found I preferred it. The textured finish practically sticks to your hand when you need to lift it off the pad, the shape doesnt feel as cramped as the Naga does, and the feel of the entire mouse, from the braided cord, to the buttons, to the mousewheel, just screams QUALITY. The adjustable weights in the bottom of the mouse even come with their own little storage container, in case you prefer a lighter mouse, and they even throw in an extra set of pads for the bottom in case you need them. Speaking of which, the new packaging is awesome since Im using it for a gaming laptop - Its decent quality, its compact, and Ill be using that to keep my favorite mouse nice and safe in transit. Top notch gaming peripheral here, hands down. Take it from the old guy.

This is the second time Im ordering this mouse. The first one lasted me for about 3 and a half years. Pros -Its a great mouse, especially if you are into gaming, and even more so if MMOs are your thing. -It looks really cool. You can set the lights color from the app ( which by the way you can find at redragonshop.com, go to downloads, and choose M901). -The 2 buttons just below the wheel are for changing profiles (you have 5 of these), and you can set them up in the app. A profile consists of the DPI setting you wish and color (maybe keybinds too, i forgot). You can choose a DPI between 1000 and 24k, and you can set different DPIs for the x and y axis if you wish so. -Id say the shape fits my hand really well (I have medium-large hands). I can easily reach the first 6 buttons on the side without any trouble. I need to bend my thumb a bit more if I want to get to buttons 7-9. If you have big hands and use the claw grip/dont lay your entire palm on the mouse or you just have small hands, your thumb might be able to reach all 12 buttons quite easily, but the last 3 are really at the limit of what Id consider comfortable. -It came in a small hard plastic case (lunch box type of thing). I like it when i need to travel and pack the mouse. Neutral -I heard people calling the ledge on the right side a pinky rest. I am resting my ring finger on it. I dont know if I just have a weird grip, or if my hand is just too big, but it feels good the way i do it. Con -The reason the last mouse broke has to do with the way the cables were arranged inside. I saw some reviews about the mouse wheel sometimes feeling like it would rub against something/spin harder, its the same problem. So you know this mouse has a very thick cable. I opened my previous mouse because it stopped getting any power. what i discovered is that the usb cable enters the mouse and takes a very sharp turn to go around the mouse wheel. The thing is that the mouse wheel started rubbing against the cable just as the cable is entering the mouse. After 3.5 years of that it rubbed off the material around the cable(yes, the thick red&black knead-like stuff) and it reached the wires inside. At that point it cut the wires, and I didnt have the tools I needed to fix it. Overall I strongly recommend the mouse. It might really depend on your preferences. I like slightly bigger mice, so this is good for me. As for the design flaw (the cable problem), I dont know if they have a different internal layout since this is an updated version of what I had. But if it does, just get the warranty, and chances are youll want to get a new mouse after 4 years anyway just because this things keep improving over time.

After a few weeks of use I have to say this is a pretty darn good mouse. I have rather large hands and it does feel a bit small to me and wish the mouse sat a little higher but it still fits comfortably. So I figured I would try to share a few things that I couldnt really find in other user reviews or reaffirm what has already be noted about the mouse. Pros: Fully customizable DPI from 50 DPI to 16400 DPI. You can adjust the DPI by 50 and even edit the x y axis DPI.(Not that I would make them different.) You can set the scroll speed for the scroll wheel on the mouse. You can create custom profiles for your different games. All the buttons and I mean all the buttons are customizable. You can set buttons to macros, combination keys, even things like copy and paste to locking your computer. Adjustable weights inside mouse. Strong and durable cord that is fairly long The surface of the mouse feels like it was rubberized. ( wierd at first but I like it ) Software is very intuitive and easy to use. I dont understand why people say its confusing it isnt. You dont need to be a techy to really understand it Lights are fully customizable to any color you want and even the brightness. ( you have a full color wheel to choose from ) You can set the lights to breathe (speed of breathing is customizable) If you dont like the breathing you can turn it off or the lights too for that matter. Rapid Fire button is fully customizable up to 255 clicks and as low as 2 with as little as 1 ms lapse between clicks. (I would not advise doing 255 for you will have to wait 255 ms till you want to do anything else. It would be great for FPS though since you can set it to your clip size and click once and unload your whole clip.) Cons: Depending on the size of your hand it may or may not be the most comforable though the weights help with comfort. If your like me and like wireless the fact that its not may be a con. Scroll wheel is not free spinning. Rapid fire key take some getting used to. ( I am not really used to it but I dont really use it. ) The 12 buttons on the side are easy to identify but if your not used to it it can take some adjusting. Its fine to me though. End of the day I cant think of a better deal since compared to like mouses for this price its a amazing deal. Mouse works perfectly. ** Update ** Had it for a few months now and it has survived my two year old. I dont think I will ever use a different mouse. I love it. ** Update ** 06/16/2016 Its been two years since I bought this mouse and it seems to start showing signs of giving out. To be fair it has been moved around a lot but all in all it was well used and taken care of. It seems the optical sensor is starting to die since the mouse sometimes doesnt like to move. I changed surface areas and still get isssue. Still works just may need to get a new one soon. Still recommend.

This isnt a bad mouse. It has features found in high end gaming mice, like weights and onboard memory for mouse profiles (instead of horrible Cloud profiles -- profiles need to be used even if the internet is down!). Nice feel to the mouse and fits small hands well -- 12 buttons on the side 9 buttons are reachable comfortably (last 3 takes moving the hand down the mouse to use them, though). Loaded up on Windows fine, Windows recognized it and self-installed the necessary drivers to work plugging it in right out of the box. Comes with 3M adhesive extra glide feet, too ... wonderful! Where the 2 stars are knocked off is due to two serious flaws in the software. 1. One star nixed for literal universal profiles (software doesnt recognize loading up a game to load your game profile. Youll have to manually switch between profiles, which makes it difficult to use this mouse with specific game key binds and switch to checking a website, for example -- remapping Click to Q and Right Click to E to strafe left to right -- and you forget to remap another key for Click -- Hope you can plug 2 mice in to undue that mistake! This software doesnt prevent you from saving a profile with no way to click anything again! Even WoW wont allow a player to save key binds without the essentials remapped). 2. Second star is nixed for the macro options, as it seriously limits the potential of this mouse as a true MMO mouse. This is a 12 button mouse that is usually labelled a MMO mouse, but the macro software strictly only maps keystrokes (like in FPS games). You cant type in the macro commands yourself. In games like World of Warcraft (the biggest MMO in the USA) macros have to be typed in manually unless specific software is used for all the modifiers WoW uses. Macros like this used in WoW... #showtooltip Divine Shield /stopcasting /cast Divine Shield Cant be programmed to a key, as its not a key to bind itself (like the Q and E keys), but a macro a player would want to be key bound. I can do macro key binds like that with my Zboard keyboard, yet this mouse software doesnt allow manual editing like that. Furthermore, strafing keys like Q and E if you bind them to the Click and Right Click WoW doesnt recognize going forward anymore depressing both keys at once. A player is stuck with Q and E and no way to turn around then, and now have to use the keyboard to even turn. If the macro software would allow manual commands to key bind the buttons -- and the scroll button could side scroll for Q and E -- this mouse would be a true MMO mouse even for WoW. I hope they update the software at least or make a 2.0 of this mouse. ADDED NOTE: Interesting thing discovered while trying to undo the Click remap mistake with using a second mouse. WoW recognizes TWO mice at once (had a old G5 mouse I plugged in to remap the Click). The result was fantastic -- free mouse look + 360 movement, just like using a flight controller and having 6 axis movement! I thought WoW would just recognize one mouse, but the game allows two mice running with independent controls. For those with disabilities that mice like the Perdition isnt just a kewl thing to have (I had a motor stroke, so one hand doesnt function as well as another), that was MUCH more comfortable than using a keyboard to move with (why I still use the Zboard with its built in game controller for movement). Left handed mice suddenly becomes interesting now. So for this Im very, very glad I was forced to use a second mouse to undo the Click remap mistake. So personally this mouse and software is a 5/5 mouse for me. Ill keep the review at 3/5 because not everyone plays WoW or has disabilities, and was looking for a MMO mouse not from Razer and Logitech ($70 mice that dies in less than a year for nominal use; or doesnt allow onboard profiles ... propels customers to look for alternatives).

Below is my original review from 2014. I have had the same mouse and its been EIGHT YEARS. After eight years, the only issue it has developed is that the texture has worn off on the ring finger rest. As well as the left click sometimes will double click on its own. Im extremely, I mean extremely, impressed with the fact that it has lasted this long and no real detrimental issues have popped up. And its still the same price as it was when I bought it all that time ago. Way to go Red Dragon! Overview: Never really purchasing a gaming mouse before this one has treated me nice so far. Ive had it for about 7 months and the only problem Ive had with it was one time the drivers glitched and my computer didnt recognize it anymore but that was fix by uninstalling and reinstalling them and a quick restart. Really not a big problem to me at all. I saw the other complaints about the LMB breaking off but I have had no concerns at all about it. The clicking pressure has been the same since day one and there arent any parts that move around on me at all. The only concern someone might have about it is the LMB and RMB getting caught on something, like a shirt or cloth etc, and then snapping. Even traveling with it out of its case there have been no problems. Pros: 1. Great Customization (ranging from the DPI to the color scheme to the weighting of the mouse) 2. High Range of DPI (granted 16k is a little high but I use half that on some of my games) 3. Glides around mouse pad very well. 4. Well placed buttons. 5. Caters more to palm type mouse users but also works for those who are of the claw type. 6. Very few bugs/glitches. 7. Very ergonomic for the hand. 8. Never drops signal. 9. Good quality braided cord. Cons: 1. Due to the material it can be a slight challenge to clean (I like to take care of my electronics) 2. Software is probably the most glitchy (sometimes doesnt save the changes you made but rarely happens more than once in a row) Cleaning: I found the best way to take care of the mouse is to use a q-tip to get rid of the dirt and such that collects on the thumb buttons and i normally use a wet cloth to wipe it, then a dry cloth and then a air duster to get rid of any fibers that were left behind. Gaming: Ive used this mouse for many games. Games such as CG GO, BF4, Garrys Mod, PayDay 2, Minecraft and more. The mouse gives you enough options to where you can use it for many games and reduce how many keys you need to use on your keyboard resulting in more reaction time on your part. It doesnt give you so many options, however, as to where one can get lost. Everyday: Not only have I used it but so has my father who doesnt know anything about technology and is able to use it without problem. I have used this mouse every day for the past two months for at least a hour, up to 5-6 hours and it serves its purpose well. I use it for other things like video editing, photoshop, web surfing and music Djing. It works well for every one of those actions. Best Features: 1. Raised ridges on the 5 and 8 key so you know where your thumb is at and youre not sitting there fumbling around trying to press the right button. 2. Quick DPI changing about the scroll wheel is extremely helpful when you get into a game like BF4 and have to change between the different vehicles and a character. 3. Fire button is handy for games like CS GO when you wanna slowly tapfire at the right speed youre able to do that with the button. 4. Resting ridge for your ring finger allows you to pay more attention to the game rather than if your hand bumps into something and you have to readjust. 5. Different weights for customization (I leave all of them in there, there are 8) Software: 1. Allows 3 different profiles and for each profile you can have 5 different DPI sensitivities. 2. Easy to use and self explanatory. 3. Quick installation. Overview: This mouse is great for the price and Im looking forward to what comes next from this company. I would suggests it for those who dont know too much about mice and for those who want a pretty diverse gaming mouse while not spending $200+. I have had no problems with it breaking or any parts being lose or faulty. At this point if it broke I wouldnt be upset because its served over 2000 hours of use.

Purchased February 2016. Still good as new with daily, heavy use in MMO, FPS and RTS. Love the grip which surrounds the black model (white one has a glossy finish). Grip is still clean and looks new other than a small piece wearing away at the left button where the tip of my index finger usually hits, which is totally normal. As long as you keep your hands clean and keep food away from your gear, you are good to go for long term use. Keep lysol wipes handy as gunk will inevitably build up in between the little keys on the side. I have a big hand. Big enough to grip and hold a basketball with one hand. My thumb takes up the whole entire layout where the side buttons are. I can comfortably push them with the tip of my thumb and use the center part of my thumb to hit the keys further down. Its awkward to use the side buttons at first, but itll be second nature in no time. Just grind away like you usually would and youll get used to it. The keys arent just flat. Notice the pattern change between the rows. This makes it SO much easier to access these tiny keys and build them to your muscle memory. The #5 key which is in the center, is the only key to have a small indentation or braille underscore right underneath the number. This will tell your muscle memory that your thumb is at the #5 button, so you can move accordingly. The software that runs with it is easy to use and allows for different profiles. One of my profiles is for web browsing, where I have back and forwards keys set up and one profile is for MMO use, where I have the proper keybinds set up for buttons (1-10, - and =). The lights can be turned off and dont stay on when my pc is off. This depends on your bios settings as well. Turn off the Power to USB when pc is off option if your mouse lights up when your pc is off. This setting exists so you can charge your phone or power certain devices while your pc is off.

I bought this mouse about 2 years ago and have been using it ever since. The side buttons are really useful for a lot of games, I always hate using the top row number keys and this has been really great for that. The programmable DPI is really useful, easy to switch between on the fly, and I never forget which mode Im on since you can program a different color for each DPI. I only have a couple complaints. First off, the triple click button only seems to work in Windows and not in any games. This is understandable since I can see how a lot of games, especially competitive ones, would not want to allow macros like that. If you can find a game that uses it, great, just dont expect it to work in every game. My other complaint is that my scroll wheel has been really buggy, hence why Im buying another one. When I scroll it skips and stutters and it is nearly useless now. This has happened after daily use for 2 years, but I was really hoping it would have lasted longer. I dont know if this is user error from getting something in the scroll wheel or because the parts are wearing out. But either way, the mouse is only about $33 so its not a big loss. Im sure there are better mice out there, but I have really gotten used to the feel of this one and have gotten a lot of use out of its features so I would rather just buy another one of these than try and hunt down something thats better AND has all of the same functions.
