18-11-2024My screen lasted for a month. If that :/ I’m very gentle and cautious with my iPad too.

> 3 dayWe’re really happy with the results of replacing our daughters iPad screens. They both were cracked and we really didn’t want to buy two more brand new iPads or replace the screens at the store for the same price!! My husband watched the how to videos and this was done in a few hours for each screen! Very tedious but doable! We’re happy and our daughters are grateful!

> 3 dayOverall product was very good. It included all necessary parts to change out my broken iPad screen. The only issue I had was the included screwdriver was low quality and did not fit the screws well. I ended up slightly stripping one screw trying to use it before giving up and hunting down a real jeweler’s screwdriver to remove the screws. Other than that minor bit, everything else was good. The screen fit well and the included double sided tape helped for the home button bracket. I added a couple drops of super glue to the home button bracket just in case. This was my first time attempting to repair a broken iPad screen and I was successful. Take your time and be extra careful with the home button cable. Use a hairdryer or heat gun on low blowing on the cable as you carefully peel it from the old glass.

> 3 dayI had issues with getting the glass to stay in place with the tape provided. It kept coming loose and button ended up pushing in slightly, making it not work anymore. Trying to fix button the glass ended up cracking. Even after being installed It is not the same quality as original, it didn’t feel sturdy first installed either. Not the best value for the price and effort

> 3 dayMy 3 year old was playing the floor is lava and broke our iPad screen. It was going to cost $200 just to have someone fix the screen. I talked my husband into doing it himself, he wasn’t sure he would be able to but he ordered this kit. The kit came with all the tools he needed. The tweezers came in handy with the tiny shards of glass everywhere. He watched a video on YouTube of how to replace it and used this kit. He got the whole screen off and replaced in under an hour! Looks good as new!

> 3 dayI am a retired IT pro of many decades and have repaired laptop and cell phone screens in the past so thought this would be a cakewalk. Not so. Its a very laborious, fine detail-oriented process that is not guaranteed to work. I was VERY careful to follow the instructions to the T, however after about 4 hours of putzing with the connectors and testing I could not get the screen to properly calibrate. The problem seems to be with the press-on connectors that take the signal from screen to processor. Its very hard to tell if they are seated properly, and to keep them seated during re-assembly. This may be an issue with every one of these kits, or at least for people that dont do it regularly. After that much time I decided it was worth it to just toss the old one and buy a good used one from Gazelle. It was worth the cost to give it a try but just be forewarned.
