This heat emitter does exactly what I needed it to do: get warm without using visible light. I dont have a snake or lizard, but I do have a cobbled-together root cellar made out of a 55-gallon bucket and two layers of insulation that needs heat in the winter, but the potatoes wont keep as long if I use a light bulb. This heat emitter did the job and when combined with an aluminum brooder clamp light and a temperature gauge, kept 80 pounds of potatoes and 40 pounds of carrots above freezing through winter.

Very nice bulb has been working for over 3 months keeps his cage warm at night without that annoying low light red light bulbs. The lizard loves it a lot too

I love Zoo Med and ths is another great product that gets the job done. This is a great wattage for a medium to large enclosure.

Great, my turtles sleep much better with this emitter than the infrared lamp and heat is uniform. On the Amazon side, it was great and arrive in a few days to México city!

Love the heaters that dont put off light- so it doesnt interrupt sleep for the rest of us! These last a long time and work well. Recommend.

Ive bought several of these ceramic heaters since I discovered these on Amazon. Not too intense, no light to distract or disturb and effective. They promise much longer life than heat lamps. I use mine with a bowl shaped reflector. The reflector does a nice job of directing the warmth without it getting hot itself. I live in Central Texas so I do not need a lot of heat. I have thus far used one for supplemental warmth for a small, elderly dog and for directing heat toward water lines in an RV located in a high plains location that gets considerably colder with multi day runs of below freezing temperatures. For the water lines, I have put together a temperature controlled system using the Lerway 110V All-Purpose Temperature Controller I also located on Amazon. Be aware the lack of visible light does present the issue of no visible indication the emitter is working.
