09-06-2025I picked up a 64GB Steam Deck as I figured it was a fantastic price and I was planning to just install everything to SD cards. Thats worked fine for about 6 months, but I noticed that Steam has swap files that fill up that 64GB drive over time and before I ran into issues, I decided to pop the original drive out and put a bigger drive in. When I ordered this drive, it was on sale for $90, cheaper than the price difference between the 64GB and 256GB Steam Decks and twice the storage. The install itself was easy enough, just follow the iFixit guide, and I liked that the Sabrent shipped in a padded metal sleeve that allows me to protect the original drive as well in case I need to send it back for warranty work.

> 3 dayI bought this very excited to finally upgrade my Surface Pro 8 to 1tb. I had read all of the reports of issues with the Surface Pro 8 but I was under the impression that as long as you made the tweaks as described, you would be fine. Sadly, for my specific SP8, that is not the case and when I did some more digging online it appears others seem to have issues where some Surface Pro 8 units just refuse to peacefully coexist with this drive. I made the tweaks to Windows, copied over the contents of my current SSD using Macrium Reflect, installed the new drive, and was blown away by how incredibly fast this drive is! It made my Surface FLY like a brand new machine. It was an absolute joy to use, and I had no issues with blue screens or reboots *while using the computer* on either AC or battery. It just flew and I was thrilled. I did notice my battery seemed to be dropping a little faster than usual, and it seemed to warm up the SP8 (although temps reported by the drive were fine, in the 40-50C range). I was going to keep an eye on it, until I discovered a bigger problem... Sadly, the one problem I was unable to solve, was the fact my Surface refused to fully go to sleep, or hibernate, with the Sabrent drive in. Every time I either pushed the power button, or closed the lid, the SP8 would go to sleep, for about 5-10 minutes. Then out of nowhere Id hear it wake up and reboot itself, without any interaction on my part. The fans would go full blast, and the computer didnt go back to sleep-- so if it was in a bag, it just got hotter and hotter and kept running. And it was a full reboot, so any programs/documents/etc I left up when I put the machine to sleep were gone. I tried every possible combination of the recommended registry tweaks and a few others, and this behavior persisted. I also wiped the drive and reinstalled Windows from scratch (using the Surface Recovery Image, and then letting it fully update back to Windows 11 22H2+latest updates) and had the same problem, so I know it wasnt just an issue with my current Windows installation. If you use your SP8 in a different way, or ALWAYS have it plugged in, and/or ALWAYS do a full shutdown when youre done, youre probably safe. But I need the ability to just put it to sleep and have it reliably wake up where I left it, and sadly I cant do that with this drive. I really, really hope Sabrent and/or Microsoft can get a firmware update or something that can resolve this issue, but for me it was a deal breaker, and I had to take the drive out and put my original, slow, boring OEM drive back. For reference, my SP8 was an early model, bought in late November 2021, so perhaps SP8s built later have a better experience. It sounds fine for SP9s. Its a great drive, its incredibly fast, but just make sure youre either using a *fully compatible* PC (which definitely doesnt include every Surface Pro 8) or youre ready for the possibility of going a bit nuts troubleshooting. My biggest problem now is now that Ive seen how much faster it made my SP8 Im desperate to find a way to somehow get that level of performance back!!

Greater than one weekAttention Nikon Z9 still photo guys out there! THIS IS THE BEST VALUE CFexpress type B card out there at this present moment! I little bit of back paddle here. Sabrent actually has been improving its cards for quite while. They are anoouncing now the new pink color not the blue one in 512GB, 1TB and 2TB versions with write speed of 1700MB/s. They are not available yet and the price is higher for assembled cards. Reading speed does not matter when you are shooting with a camera. What matters is the writing speed so that the buffer of the camera can be free as fast as possible. Nikon Z9 is a beast of speed. We need writing speeds as high as possible. This card delivers! Yes I built one and as soon as I made comparisons with the Angelbird 160GB AV PRO CFexpress 2.0 Type B SX Memory Card and the ProGrade Digital 165GB CFexpress 2.0 Type B Cobalt Memory Card I was so impressed that I purchased another one right of the bat! Yes, it does not write at the speed claimed Sabrent pink color cards claim 1700GB/s writing speed. The above cards claim 1600GB/s for Angelbird and 1500GB/s for Pro Grade. But since Sabrents claiming speed was higher than the two other cards I expected it would be close in the real world. Said and done! When you shoot C30, C60 and C120 on Nikon Z9 the number of photos are the same from the two cards mentioned above. One caveat. When shooting RAW 20FPS it buffers less photos than the other cards. However, its not to bad because as soon as you release the shutter button from the Z9 its buffer writes so fast to the card that after one or less seconds you are shooting back again. So here we go. The best price performance per GB out there right now. Not perfect yet. But 6.6 times more per GB memory. A winner hands down. I am looking forward to see what Sabrent will come up with next. No more expensive Nikon, Wise, Pro Grade or Angerbird for me. Happy with this card. BTW, there is also a high quality case by ZITAY CFexpress Type B Card to NVME M.2 2230 SSD Adapter Compatible with Nikon Z6 Z7 Z9 for this card out there. CNC machined really nice to assemble your own card. No, I am not being paid to say anything here. I am a photographer that always explore better options and boy after seeing the price of the CFexpress cards to star with my new Z9 I tough this is a rip off! Glad competition is really coming up and Sabrent is beating it! Go Sabrent go!

> 3 dayWhen I realized this was an option for my Steam Deck, it was easy to make the decision to get the 64gb Steam Deck. It was easy to install, and I’ve even noticed faster loading times in some games! **I meant to come back to this, but truly wanted to test everything before editing. So, after the above game was installed, I tested load times and compared them with videos I had recorded before I swapped it out. When I was watching videos online of people comparing their load times within game, it didnt seem or feel like it mattered; most people generally buy these to increase memory. Anyway, when I experienced myself, I realized that those seconds do indeed matter. Games like GTA or Cyberpunk where the load times are long regardless, you dont really process the difference. But, in other games like FFVII Remake and Hogwarts Legacy, I noticed quicker load times, which I mentioned previously, did make a difference.

> 3 dayGot this 512GB model to replace the 256GB ssd that came with my Surface pro 9. Easy to install (youll need a number 3 torx bit to remove screw) and if you follow the instructions found online to create a recovery boot disk, installaton of Windows 11 on the new drive was easy peasy. No issues at all. No overheating, no freezing or lockups some other people are reporting with no name drives purchased on other sites. Great quality and gettting almost 4GB speeds both read and write. For 89 bucks, this was a no brainer upgrade..Thanks Amazon and Thanks, Sabrent.
