Easy to install with a nice template sticker to use. They stay locked very well, sure if you pulled extremely hard they may break but to keep someone out it works great. One of the pieces was broken upon opening and could not figure out a way to fix it so I had to toss one away. If you lose the key by chance, just use a standard few dollar pack of magnets from the hardware store.

i had originally purchased the safety first spring n release latch and that was a complete failure. some of them broke off or just got bent so it didnt engage the lock. so when i moved into a new home, i purchased these instead and what a world of difference! these are significantly more expensive, but its worth it. it can be a little tricky to open; you have to hold the key in just the right spot to get the magnet to unlock (you can hear it). however, once you get use to it, you can open it very quickly. and the other thing i really like about it is that you can manually switch it to a unlocked position which is nice if youre having to constantly open a drawer/cabinet; and when youre ready to have it locked again, just switch it back over.

These are great cabinet locks! They are very nicely made and packaged. Read through the instructions several times to understand everything completely. In my opinion, very easy to install.. especially after the first one. Make sure to tape off 3/8 on your drill bit so you know when to stop drilling or else you will go through your cabinet door. I purchased 2 of these sets (each come with 4 locks and 1 key) so I ended up with 2 keys which is nice. If you purchase the larger pack which comes with 8 locks then you will only have 1 key per 8. Same price too. Cabinet doors dont have any give so their little fingers cant get between the cabinet door and cabinet. Get them!

My son was obsessed with our exterior door baby locks and kept pulling them off as soon as he saw that one was loose or unlocked. These locks work great, as there is no external hardware. Now my son simply tries to open a cabinet and walks away when he realizes that it doesnt open. There are two swithes on the lock that keep them locked or unlocked. That works well when you dont want your cabinet to be locked at all times or if someone needs to babyproof their house on occasion, but not all of the time. I just stick the key to my fridge (magnet) so I wont lose it. It does take some getting used to, as you cant see the lock from the outside of the cabinet to remind you it is there, but it sure does beat having to mess with external locks while trying to get into your cabinet. I also like that the cabinet wont open the slightest bit while being pulled on, which keeps my sons fingers from getting pinched. I would highly recommend this product.

These work like a charm and are pretty durable. My twins will pull the cabinet doors quite a lot (they are 2.5) and we haven’t had any issues with the locks breaking.

I recently inherited a 100+ year old hutch that has been in the family forever. The keys for the built-in lock were lost decades ago and the locks are rusted solid, anyway. These baby locks are a great way to keep my toddler out of the hutch without detracting from the external appearance. I just wave the key on the wood until I hear a click, and then the doors magically open.

These things are great! Installed very easily (great template to drill holes for the screws) and very securely our cabinets from the kids. I have really yanked on them while locked to test them and they hold great with no play. The best Ive found yet. I bought 4 as a trial and will be buying more.

My son HATES these. He is currently on a mission to figure out how the keys work. I caught him with one the other day, rubbing it all over the door (on the wrong side, luckily). He gave up in a huff and dropped the key. I guess its just a matter of time, but so far he hasnt been able to pry the doors open or figure out the system, and that has made out live SO much easier...

Worked great in the cabinets that we couldnt use the traditional/much cheaper spring locks for (the cabinets were too close together to get a finger in and push the latch) And they worked great. Installation was easier when I thoroughly read the instructions.

I consider myself pretty handy, especially for a woman. I have been assembling most of our furniture at home, including our kids bunk bed, our dining set, etc... When our son turned 12 months old and was climbing over the gates, we knew it was time to baby proof our kitchen. For our cabinets that were parallel to each other, we just purchased the knob locks, but for the individual cabinet doors, we purchased this. The instructions that came with it was very vague (especially the sticker method), so I ended up just ditching it and using my common sense -- use the tape measure/ruler to mark the screw holes. It took me 2 hours to finish all four cabinet doors, and I have never installed anything so frustrating before until I installed these. When they were finally installed, they worked great.
