> 3 dayI got tired of coming home to a kitchen with trash scattered all over the floor so was looking for a way to make the cabinets below the sink secure without having to stick a chair in front of the sink to block my dogs access. The cabinets dont have doorknobs, so I couldnt use the cheap twist-tie versions. I like that my sink is metal because I can stick the key to it without worrying about losing it. I also like being able to disable it just by flicking the grey tab on the side. When I am home my dog will not go dumpster diving so on the weekends I keep it unlocked so I dont have to wrestle with the key to throw trash away. This makes it good for people having multiple children- keep it locked when there is a toddler, unlock it when toddler gets older without having to uninstall, then relock it when next toddler comes along. Fortunately my dad came up that weekend because if it was a pain in the *** for him to install them I bet I would have given up. He is very handy but it still took him over an hour to install. The directions were not clear enough, so I found a youtube video which demonstrated how to install them. My dad said it was very helpful.

> 3 dayThis could be a great product, BUT the support is terrible. We started installing the product over the weekend. The package includes an innovative template that sticks to the cabinet door so you can drill the holes correctly. The adhesive is basically double stick tape and is covered by a waxy paper. Unfortunately, removing the paper also removed the adhesive. We contacted support to get some additional templates to replace the defective ones and were told, Unfortunately, these locking systems do not have parts available to send. So, if there is something missing from the package, or defective... you would have to return the entire product for the very inexpensive templates. Sorry thats not really an acceptable answer these days. So, if you go ahead and buy the product, inspect it quickly. If ANYTHING even looks wrong, return it immediately. Dont wait, and dont expect any help from support.

Greater than one weekThese locks were very easy to install and are very effective in keeping my 14 month old son out of my desk. He is a very strong kid, to give an example he pushes a Sams grocery cart, which is twice the size of a regular grocery cart, with a 42 lb bag of dog food in it all the way through Sams and through the parking lot to the car. Without any help. So when I say hes strong Im not exaggerating. Once the lock is engaged I would venture to say that it would take a pry bar to open it without the key. The price was right too. I shopped around and comared to other brand name magnetic locks these were hands down the best deal going. The same type of lock in a different brand name cost three times as much and you have to purchase the key separate.

> 3 dayThe only problem weve had with these involved a guest blasting one of our cupboards with champagne, which leaked into the lock and gummed it up. Fortunately we ordered many keys, because our toddlers love to snatch and hide them. Overall, much better than the older plastic tab locks my parents used, and easy to install for someone who is moderately handy. The hardest to install was on the bottom drawer, where the drill barely fit. Theres little to no play, and its nice to be able to unlock them while Im cooking.

> 3 dayWe bought these for our gun cabinet and even a grown adult cannot open the doors. On the longer door we had to use two locks because with enough force the bottom part of the door opens a bit but on the smaller doors there is no way it will open without the magnet. If its adult proof it sure will be toddler proof. PROS: Lock is hidden unable to try to pick it or open with just any magnet. CONS: Instructions on how to install.

06-06-2025They work really well. Just a little bit difficult to install due to the small size of the screws, but thats just because my hands are big. The instructions and the sticky placement guides make it much easier to install the locks than I thought it was going to be. Im going to be buying more of these soon!

> 3 dayI bought the 12-pack since we have a lot of drawers and cabinets that are within our babys reach. These are great since they can be installed anywhere and not just at the very top of the cabinet. (Yes, we have to use hardware to install these but I prefer this method over the adhesive type which may not be as secure and it can ruin the finish when removed.) The magnetic key also works well and we simply store it on the fridge when not in use.

> 3 dayMaybe these aren’t necessary when it comes to child proofing and you could opt for the cheaper ones, but let me tell you my primary reason why I love these the most.. my daughter doesn’t pull on the cabinets with these on them, repeatedly banging them ever-so-slightly open and shut like what she does with the cheapo cabinet locks that allow the cabinet to open a tad. That’s a sanity-saver right there. I also love that these can be disabled if need be. I stick the key on the frig when not in use.

> 3 dayA little awkward to install but not bad if you can make out the directions. I needed something to lock the liquor cabinet while we left the house in charge of a sitter. The lock functions perfectly and smoothly. Even with a glass front cabinet, it wasnt hard to conceal. The only thing I count off for is that it is not really that strong. Im certain a good hard tug by an adult would be sufficient to break it. But to keep the cat from getting into the bag of treats or the house sitter from helping themselves to a shot of the expensive scotch, its very adequate. What Id say is that it is moderately secure but not going to keep someone out who is in any way determined.

> 3 dayAmazing my little magician cant pry these open even pulling with full body wt. Although to keep from cracking my cabinets over tightening them I also went to Lowes and bought a 6 second set glue small brown box works on all surfaces. It says 5 seconds but to me a bit more Im just super causious but tested doors and drawers a few minutes later these arent coming off
