Safety 1st Magnetic Cabinet Locks, 4 Locks + 1 Key

> 3 dayThese are the best cabinet locks I have seen. They are easy to install, can be adjusted so there is not any slop (no partially pulling open that could let little fingers get pinched) and for us as grandparents they can easily be disabled when not needed (who wants to deal with childproof stuff when the kids arent around). Locating the magnetic key to the correct position on the door is easy because it makes a nice click when you get to the right place. Wish we had them when our kids were little.

> 3 dayAs much as I hate to install these things, they really are the best quality baby locks. The doors and drawers stay completely shut so baby cant catch a finger. I suggest buying sticky felt circles to put on the face of the door where your magnet will go. It helps locate where to put the magnet but also prevents wearing a spot in them.

Greater than one weekThese are amazing. We have a daughter who gets into EVERYTHING. These keep her from opening drawers an cabinets and stay hidden. PROS: (1) They stay hidden and dont create an eyesore. (2) If you install them just right, you can prevent the drawers/cabinets from opening at all, unlike other lock that allow the drawer to open an inch or two. (3) You can push a tiny button to disable the locking mechanism, for times when youd prefer everything to be unlocked, like when putting away clean dishes. CONS: (1) If youre picky about having a zero open, these can take a long time to install. (2) Can be tricky to install on certain types of drawers, though you can usually find a way if youre handy and creative. (3) Its easy to lose the magnetic keys. My suggestion would be to have one key per cluster of drawers/cabinets and affix the keys to the wall with a retractable cord. That way, you can pull the key out when needed, but it will be impossible to accidentally carry it into another room.

> 3 dayA little awkward to install but not bad if you can make out the directions. I needed something to lock the liquor cabinet while we left the house in charge of a sitter. The lock functions perfectly and smoothly. Even with a glass front cabinet, it wasnt hard to conceal. The only thing I count off for is that it is not really that strong. Im certain a good hard tug by an adult would be sufficient to break it. But to keep the cat from getting into the bag of treats or the house sitter from helping themselves to a shot of the expensive scotch, its very adequate. What Id say is that it is moderately secure but not going to keep someone out who is in any way determined.

Greater than one weekI recently inherited a 100+ year old hutch that has been in the family forever. The keys for the built-in lock were lost decades ago and the locks are rusted solid, anyway. These baby locks are a great way to keep my toddler out of the hutch without detracting from the external appearance. I just wave the key on the wood until I hear a click, and then the doors magically open.

> 3 dayThese are the absolute best! We took the ones we already had on our cabinets when we moved and bought new ones to make up the difference in our new house. The older ones have been used for 3 years now and work like new. We use them wherever there is a drawer or cabinet we dont want the kids to get in to including kitchen drawers and cabinets, bathroom drawers, and the media cabinet.

> 3 dayThe locks cost more then others on Amazon but it includes the screws and drill holes to fully secure the locks on your cabinets. Just dont feel adhesive locks are good enough to hold against a strong kid.

> 3 daya little tricky to install and you have to drill the cabinets but they work great!!!!! I have full overlay cherry cabinets, the magnet works great through the door and they latch every time. I have self closing hinges and these do not provide any resistance when closing so they latch every time. I ordered a different kind accidentally and they would not always latch, or more accurately hardly ever latch........

> 3 dayThese locks work well and theyre super secure. Unless your toddler can rig up a reasonably strong electromagnet. But then youve got bigger problems. The locks can be set to stay open if the kids arent around and you need easier access. The magnetic key works fairly well. Installation isnt the easiest, and the paper template could be better. I had some cabinets where I just couldnt mount these locks and had to find alternatives. Still, as long as you can keep the key out of reach, these are about secure as toddler locks get.
