> 3 dayThe multiple engineers in my family all geeked out over the simple but very effective paper template that makes installation so simple. Once installed you cannot see them from the outside at all which was so nice after years of big bulky plastic things looking awful on our cabinets. Plus these are the first lock to totally keep my highly intelligent 3 year old out. The spring loaded ones similar to this she had figured out in under 10 minutes by just reaching her hand in through the little gap and pushing the lever down. These keep the cabinets shut much tighter so you cannot reach through at all. We just make sure to store the magnet key at the very top of our fridge. Also I appreciate that you can toggle a lever on the lock if you want them to stay unlocked. That way if you are going in and out of a cabinet over and over for a few minutes you dont have to use the key each time. Really nice lock overall and I have already bought more. Only thing I was slightly disappointed on (but really I should have asked about it first so its my fault) is that I had planned to put some of these on metal storage cabinet doors in our garage but the metal doors activated the magnetic lever and so they were stuck in the unlocked position. It didnt occur to me that the metal doors would do that as I thought it would have to be a magnet not just a piece of metal. Not a big deal I just had to get another solution for the metal doors but just something to be aware of if your cabinets have metal doors too. So long as they are wooden you should be good.

> 3 dayThese locks are easy to install, work on almost any cupboard, and provide a nice snug close. Without the magnetic key, doors do not come open easily or are able to be forced open. Additionally locks provide an alternative, always unlocked feature with a simply push button. Highly recommend product for potential customers.

> 3 dayThese work like a charm and are pretty durable. My twins will pull the cabinet doors quite a lot (they are 2.5) and we haven’t had any issues with the locks breaking.

> 3 dayThese locks work well and theyre super secure. Unless your toddler can rig up a reasonably strong electromagnet. But then youve got bigger problems. The locks can be set to stay open if the kids arent around and you need easier access. The magnetic key works fairly well. Installation isnt the easiest, and the paper template could be better. I had some cabinets where I just couldnt mount these locks and had to find alternatives. Still, as long as you can keep the key out of reach, these are about secure as toddler locks get.

Greater than one weekWe just started to baby proof our house as the little one just started to open cabinets. She enjoy opening and closing them, but i wanted something she couldnt get her fingers caught in and would still be safe. The install was very easy with the included templates, especially on my inset type cabinets. Would HIGHLY recommend to any parents who dont want their baby proofing to be explicitly visible and/or have little ones who might get their fingers caught in other tops of locks.

> 3 dayAs much as I hate to install these things, they really are the best quality baby locks. The doors and drawers stay completely shut so baby cant catch a finger. I suggest buying sticky felt circles to put on the face of the door where your magnet will go. It helps locate where to put the magnet but also prevents wearing a spot in them.

> 3 dayWho knew a child-proof latch could be so much fun? They were easy to install and a pleasure to use because theyre so clever. Note that its no longer necessary to blind drill a nearly 3/8 diameter hole; just two small screw holes need to be drilled into the cabinet face. The provided templates make installation much easier than it otherwise would be - very clever. I only wished that this product could be made to work on the drawers in my house.

> 3 dayi had originally purchased the safety first spring n release latch and that was a complete failure. some of them broke off or just got bent so it didnt engage the lock. so when i moved into a new home, i purchased these instead and what a world of difference! these are significantly more expensive, but its worth it. it can be a little tricky to open; you have to hold the key in just the right spot to get the magnet to unlock (you can hear it). however, once you get use to it, you can open it very quickly. and the other thing i really like about it is that you can manually switch it to a unlocked position which is nice if youre having to constantly open a drawer/cabinet; and when youre ready to have it locked again, just switch it back over.

> 3 dayThey are ok, there are magnets in the lock part itself so where I wanted to place the lock it was picking up on the metal staple in the corner of the cabinet door and holding itself unlocked. I had to move them away from the corner and further from the handle to get them to work which now makes opening the door a two-handed affair. Otherwise easy to install and function as described.

> 3 dayAfter reading reviews about many types of cabinet childproofing products, we decided to buy these. Theyre a bit more costly, but much more effective in keeping baby out of the cabinets than the cheaper ones. Our baby loves to open the kitchen cabinets and has started to pull out pans and glass dishes recently. I cant reorganize the cabinets to allow him some exploration and play space in the kitchen, so instead of constantly saying no, no, no I decided to make it a moot point by removing the temptation of opening and closing the cabinet doors. The morning after we installed these, he crawled over, pulled himself up, and tried to pull on the knob to open the door. He attempted a few times, but quickly got bored and crawled away. Effective! Installation was a little frustrating for the first one, but once we figured it out, the others were quick to install (maybe 4 minutes each, but the first one took us about 20 mins). Weve ordered more, to put on the rest of our kitchen cabinets and on the bathroom ones, too. Were pleased with this product, and were glad we didnt waste the time installing the cheaper plastic latches that most kiddos eventually learn how to use. Minus 1 star because only 1 magnetic key is included...what happens if we lose it, or lock it inside the cabinet? It would take a few days to buy another one...
