Greater than one weekThey work really well. Just a little bit difficult to install due to the small size of the screws, but thats just because my hands are big. The instructions and the sticky placement guides make it much easier to install the locks than I thought it was going to be. Im going to be buying more of these soon!

> 3 dayMy kids were able to open every other type of lock (including the ones for refrigerators and toilets). The magnet locks are the only type they couldn’t get past without a magnet. Only downside - no magnets can be on the fridge LOL as my kids figured out other magnets work when they can’t find the magnet “key”. They’re 5 and almost 10 now and the locks are still working for us. Highly recommend!! Fingers crossed the cable magnet lock for the refrigerator works just as well as we still find the need to keep the kids out of the food in the cabinets and freezer (ice cream thieves LOL)

> 3 dayThese are amazing. We have a daughter who gets into EVERYTHING. These keep her from opening drawers an cabinets and stay hidden. PROS: (1) They stay hidden and dont create an eyesore. (2) If you install them just right, you can prevent the drawers/cabinets from opening at all, unlike other lock that allow the drawer to open an inch or two. (3) You can push a tiny button to disable the locking mechanism, for times when youd prefer everything to be unlocked, like when putting away clean dishes. CONS: (1) If youre picky about having a zero open, these can take a long time to install. (2) Can be tricky to install on certain types of drawers, though you can usually find a way if youre handy and creative. (3) Its easy to lose the magnetic keys. My suggestion would be to have one key per cluster of drawers/cabinets and affix the keys to the wall with a retractable cord. That way, you can pull the key out when needed, but it will be impossible to accidentally carry it into another room.

> 3 dayWe first put the latch type safety locks on our drawers and cabinets. Our son was 15 mths at the time and figured those out. He could also squeeze his hand in and get anything within reach. These magnet locks are fantastic. Even when he somehow manages to get his hands on the key, he hasnt figured out how to use it. Make sure to keep the key nearby. We put a bright keychain on the key so it was easy to find on our cluttered fridge. My husband did throw the key in one of the locked drawers once. He had to break the lock to get it out - so the lock works well! Now we have two sets in case that happens again.

> 3 dayI recently inherited a 100+ year old hutch that has been in the family forever. The keys for the built-in lock were lost decades ago and the locks are rusted solid, anyway. These baby locks are a great way to keep my toddler out of the hutch without detracting from the external appearance. I just wave the key on the wood until I hear a click, and then the doors magically open.

> 3 dayIve installed numerous drawer locking gadgets, none of them satisfactory until I acquired this product which is vastly superior to any others Ive tried. I was somewhat concerned that their installation would be difficult, but in fact they installed easily and provide a secure, easily unlocked solution. Highly recommended.

19-11-2024After reading reviews about many types of cabinet childproofing products, we decided to buy these. Theyre a bit more costly, but much more effective in keeping baby out of the cabinets than the cheaper ones. Our baby loves to open the kitchen cabinets and has started to pull out pans and glass dishes recently. I cant reorganize the cabinets to allow him some exploration and play space in the kitchen, so instead of constantly saying no, no, no I decided to make it a moot point by removing the temptation of opening and closing the cabinet doors. The morning after we installed these, he crawled over, pulled himself up, and tried to pull on the knob to open the door. He attempted a few times, but quickly got bored and crawled away. Effective! Installation was a little frustrating for the first one, but once we figured it out, the others were quick to install (maybe 4 minutes each, but the first one took us about 20 mins). Weve ordered more, to put on the rest of our kitchen cabinets and on the bathroom ones, too. Were pleased with this product, and were glad we didnt waste the time installing the cheaper plastic latches that most kiddos eventually learn how to use. Minus 1 star because only 1 magnetic key is included...what happens if we lose it, or lock it inside the cabinet? It would take a few days to buy another one...

> 3 dayThese are nice to keep baby out of cupboards. I do have a hard time with the magnet because its somewhat inconvenient to track down a magnet to open the cupboard but I wouldnt choose any other kind of baby proofing option.

> 3 dayLove these, although Ive had a few problems with some of them catching properly. They are installed perfectly, but if I pull at the cabinet door hard enough it will open without the key. Not sure why..but this has happened with 2-3 out of 16. Although my baby is only one, hes strong and determined enough to open the dud locks I received. Plan to contact merchant about this issue and hope for replacements.

> 3 dayWorked great in the cabinets that we couldnt use the traditional/much cheaper spring locks for (the cabinets were too close together to get a finger in and push the latch) And they worked great. Installation was easier when I thoroughly read the instructions.
