Worked great in the cabinets that we couldnt use the traditional/much cheaper spring locks for (the cabinets were too close together to get a finger in and push the latch) And they worked great. Installation was easier when I thoroughly read the instructions.

If I had reviewed these right after buying them, Im sure Id have given them 5 stars. But a couple years later... man, what a pain these have been. First off, out of 12 we installed 3 have been replaced and 3 more need to be. THEY JUST DONT LAST! Something breaks in them, seemingly with no reason, rendering them completely useless. The company replaced the first two. The third time they said they would after receiving the defect back and - to their credit - they paid for the shipping... but I never heard from them again. To be honest, if I could go back in time... I just wouldnt bother. So heres some parenting device: Stop being so paranoid! You wont listen to me. I wouldnt have listened to me either. But I found its just far better to teach the kid to not do certain things, and move the really dangerous stuff so they just cant get it. Way better than annoying yourself and all your guests for years with these blasted things.

We first put the latch type safety locks on our drawers and cabinets. Our son was 15 mths at the time and figured those out. He could also squeeze his hand in and get anything within reach. These magnet locks are fantastic. Even when he somehow manages to get his hands on the key, he hasnt figured out how to use it. Make sure to keep the key nearby. We put a bright keychain on the key so it was easy to find on our cluttered fridge. My husband did throw the key in one of the locked drawers once. He had to break the lock to get it out - so the lock works well! Now we have two sets in case that happens again.

These are the absolute best! We took the ones we already had on our cabinets when we moved and bought new ones to make up the difference in our new house. The older ones have been used for 3 years now and work like new. We use them wherever there is a drawer or cabinet we dont want the kids to get in to including kitchen drawers and cabinets, bathroom drawers, and the media cabinet.

These work like a charm and are pretty durable. My twins will pull the cabinet doors quite a lot (they are 2.5) and we haven’t had any issues with the locks breaking.

These locks work well. I like that little one cant get her fingers pinched. The flexibility over other brands to install the lock at the top or side of the cabinet door is nice. Installation was a challenge. On our cabinet, the installation template didnt work. I ended up drilling 3 sets of holes on the first door. I figured out that I shouldnt use the template to determine the placement of holes on the door.

We started with the plastic push down cabinet locks and my 1 year old figured those out right away, so on to to plan B which was the Safety 1st Magnetic locks and they work perfectly. I also like the fact that you can turn them off when not in use. Although keep that key in a safe place. Weve had to buy a spare because the magnet clinged on to something else and left the house at some point :)

My son was obsessed with our exterior door baby locks and kept pulling them off as soon as he saw that one was loose or unlocked. These locks work great, as there is no external hardware. Now my son simply tries to open a cabinet and walks away when he realizes that it doesnt open. There are two swithes on the lock that keep them locked or unlocked. That works well when you dont want your cabinet to be locked at all times or if someone needs to babyproof their house on occasion, but not all of the time. I just stick the key to my fridge (magnet) so I wont lose it. It does take some getting used to, as you cant see the lock from the outside of the cabinet to remind you it is there, but it sure does beat having to mess with external locks while trying to get into your cabinet. I also like that the cabinet wont open the slightest bit while being pulled on, which keeps my sons fingers from getting pinched. I would highly recommend this product.

These are the best cabinet locks I have seen. They are easy to install, can be adjusted so there is not any slop (no partially pulling open that could let little fingers get pinched) and for us as grandparents they can easily be disabled when not needed (who wants to deal with childproof stuff when the kids arent around). Locating the magnetic key to the correct position on the door is easy because it makes a nice click when you get to the right place. Wish we had them when our kids were little.
