Easy to install with a nice template sticker to use. They stay locked very well, sure if you pulled extremely hard they may break but to keep someone out it works great. One of the pieces was broken upon opening and could not figure out a way to fix it so I had to toss one away. If you lose the key by chance, just use a standard few dollar pack of magnets from the hardware store.

These locks were very easy to install and are very effective in keeping my 14 month old son out of my desk. He is a very strong kid, to give an example he pushes a Sams grocery cart, which is twice the size of a regular grocery cart, with a 42 lb bag of dog food in it all the way through Sams and through the parking lot to the car. Without any help. So when I say hes strong Im not exaggerating. Once the lock is engaged I would venture to say that it would take a pry bar to open it without the key. The price was right too. I shopped around and comared to other brand name magnetic locks these were hands down the best deal going. The same type of lock in a different brand name cost three times as much and you have to purchase the key separate.

I have some of these that have been in service for 15+ years with good reliability and no failures yet. Follow the instructions and they are easy to install. Not as easy as the Stick-on version but much more secure.

Magical locks. Keeps my toddler out of all the things without having ugly latches on all my cabinets- especially the ikea type cabinets that dont have a ridge for a latch to sit on. He cant figure these out either, because the latch isnt at all visible.

i had originally purchased the safety first spring n release latch and that was a complete failure. some of them broke off or just got bent so it didnt engage the lock. so when i moved into a new home, i purchased these instead and what a world of difference! these are significantly more expensive, but its worth it. it can be a little tricky to open; you have to hold the key in just the right spot to get the magnet to unlock (you can hear it). however, once you get use to it, you can open it very quickly. and the other thing i really like about it is that you can manually switch it to a unlocked position which is nice if youre having to constantly open a drawer/cabinet; and when youre ready to have it locked again, just switch it back over.

I dont want to give this one star but.... I bought these and installed three of them, simple to do, and they work great, actually ordered more before I even finished this project because I liked how well they work. But, the last lock I went to install was broken and would not lock with out some great effort... something I was not willing to do. I tried everything I know possible to find a way to contact the manufacturer and tell them this one was broken and please send me a replacement. I was not about to uninstall three I had already installed! NOTHING... I have no way to contact the seller and try to get this fixed so, I have to give them 1 star for customer support and the fact that I am no out one lock that I needed to keep my kiddos safe. If they contact me after reading this I will gladly give them a great rating but right now, I have no other recourse!

As much as I hate to install these things, they really are the best quality baby locks. The doors and drawers stay completely shut so baby cant catch a finger. I suggest buying sticky felt circles to put on the face of the door where your magnet will go. It helps locate where to put the magnet but also prevents wearing a spot in them.

The multiple engineers in my family all geeked out over the simple but very effective paper template that makes installation so simple. Once installed you cannot see them from the outside at all which was so nice after years of big bulky plastic things looking awful on our cabinets. Plus these are the first lock to totally keep my highly intelligent 3 year old out. The spring loaded ones similar to this she had figured out in under 10 minutes by just reaching her hand in through the little gap and pushing the lever down. These keep the cabinets shut much tighter so you cannot reach through at all. We just make sure to store the magnet key at the very top of our fridge. Also I appreciate that you can toggle a lever on the lock if you want them to stay unlocked. That way if you are going in and out of a cabinet over and over for a few minutes you dont have to use the key each time. Really nice lock overall and I have already bought more. Only thing I was slightly disappointed on (but really I should have asked about it first so its my fault) is that I had planned to put some of these on metal storage cabinet doors in our garage but the metal doors activated the magnetic lever and so they were stuck in the unlocked position. It didnt occur to me that the metal doors would do that as I thought it would have to be a magnet not just a piece of metal. Not a big deal I just had to get another solution for the metal doors but just something to be aware of if your cabinets have metal doors too. So long as they are wooden you should be good.

The Kidco S3362 is easier to install, but doesnt work nearly as well, at least not on my cabinets. My only beef with this product is the install template they give is neither intuitive nor effective. If they could steal a page from the Kidco playbook on the installation they would have a home run.

These locks are great and very easy to install. They keep my 15 month old son out of the kitchen cabinets especially the cleaning products cabinet. I love that the locks can be set to lock or unlock with the flip of a button on the lock itself, so when he gets older and we dont have to worry about his getting into the cabinets we can leave them unlocked instead of having to take the locks off.
