> 24 hourOverall Im pretty satisfied with these locks. Once you get them installed correctly, they work very well. The biggest advantage is that theyre invisible and do not allow the drawer/door to open enough to get a finger smashed. As others have noted, installation can be a bit bothersome. The first lock was the most difficult, naturally. The more I did, the easier it became to install. A couple of times, after screwing everything into place, the lock would stay down, even though the magnet was nowhere near it. I had to rotate it ever so slightly to get the lock to pop open and then screw it back secure. Im wondering if maybe it was sitting too close to the metal pull of the drawer, but cannot confirm. But now that everything is installed and working properly, the wife and I are satisfied. Its a shame that the replacement keys are so expensive. We could definitely use a couple of extra ones to place around the kitchen since were always searching for the one that came with the kit.

> 24 hourWe love these locks!!!! The very best child locks EVEr and we have used so many! You install by screws, not hard, but a necessary piece of info. The nicest feature besides the absolutely effective child locking is that they have a switch which allows you to disengage the locking mechanism. This feature is so nice, especially for those who may only have children around sometimes, grandparents, friends, or in between stages on kids... and you dont always want t deal with a safety lock. Imagine having your granbabies around and not having your DVD cupboard exploited, or your Tupperware drawer I will never be without these again. I even lock the toy cupboard with them giving my only one toy at a time rule some needed backing. I keep the magnetic lock on my fridge and having a few extras isnt unhelpful. I have a few different brands trying or a better price after loving these, and while the others are work fine, these certainly feel the highest quality. Take note, if you do different brands they may use opposite ends of the magnet, making the various keys less compatible with the other sets. Once again love these, and thus is the brand I will buy more of if I need them. If this was helpful, please say so, it makes me happy to know Ive helped someone.

> 24 hourI bought these to keep my grandson out of the cabinets that I dont want him getting into. But when hes not at my home, we can keep them unlocked. These are perfect for grandparents homes! I keep the key on the side of the refrigerator where Ill always know where it is. This package was perfect for us as it contained enough to do all the cabinets I needed to lock, with one left over. Ive had other models that just were a pain to use. The kind you have to open the door slightly and press down to open completely just dont do the trick for us. I also tried one type that you are supposed to be able to fold over when not locking, but when you want them to lock they tend to unlock themselves and I had to put a piece of tape on the end to keep them in the lock position, so these one are absolutely the BEST Ive ever tried. I recommend them to anyone wanting to lock cabinets only at certain times. But they also work for the busy mom who needs them locked all the time, just dont loose the key! (If you do, a STRONG magnet should work for you.)

> 24 hourMy two toddlers love to open their dresser drawers and pull out all of their neatly folded clothes. The traditional baby locks that allow you to open cabinets a couple inches wouldnt work because my kids could still reach the clothes and the wraparound locks dont work for us because my daughter knows how to get them open. These locks to the rescue. They dont allow you to open the drawer at all until unlocked which is great but this perk comes with a few downsides: 1) The key. Were always misplacing the key. Regular fridge magnets arent strong enough and without the key you cant access the contents your securing so weve had some frustrating mornings trying to find the key so I can get my kids dressed. This can obviously be rectified by having more than one key (but theyre expensive!) or not being careless with it like I apparently am. 2) Install. These wouldnt work on our dresser as is because the drawer face was extended past the actual box part of the drawer. This meant that no matter how we installed it, the magnet part of the lock wouldnt reach the piece its supposed to hold on to in order to keep the drawer shut. My husband rectified this by custom cutting pieces of wood to screw into the dresser, which we then attached the locks to. This was a time consuming process since each drawer level and size had to be different but in the end its working perfectly. 3) Finding the lock after installed. Again, really a trivial matter in the grand scheme of things but sometimes I have to slide that key back and forth on the dresser to get the right spot to unlock it. Maybe if your doing cabinets and can instal in the same lower hand corner or something this wouldnt be an issue for you but for us its annoying. Id definitely recommend these locks if the others dont work for your situation. Learn from our mistake and invest in an extra key though.

> 24 hourThese are great childproof locks. I bough them because I now have two granddaughters, and needed to secure some areas. My husband installed them, and said that the template that came with it was very helpful. They work best on the cabinet doors. They work on my thicker drawers as well, but Unlocking with the key, isn’t as easy as on the thinner cabinets. We couldn’t make them work on our lazy Susan cupboards though, and we have two of those. I wished I had known that at the time I ordered them, even though I would have ordered them anyway. Maybe someone said in a review that they didn’t work on rotating cupboard. But I didn’t see it. These are so much better than the plastic ones we had when I had my children 40 years ago. When locked, they don’t open a bit. No little fingers are going to get pinched. Great price, and arrived when expected. If anyone knows of similar locks that do work on lazy Susan cupboard types, I’d be interested in hearing.

> 24 hourI purchased two sets of these. The first set I purchased knowing I would need more than 8 locks. However, I didnt want to buy a ton of locks and risk not liking them. I installed the first set and was surprised by how easy they were to install, so long as you pre-drill first...which you should always do anyways. I didnt always get the parts lined up exactly how I would like, but that was user error. Luckily that was a minor issue since the lock does give you some wiggle room to line up everything properly before tightening. My baby girl has no change of getting into the cabinets, and she has certainly tried. The lock magnet key works as you would expect. It was surprisingly stronger than I expected. Since I liked the first set I bought, i went ahead and bought an identical second set. Now i have these on all the lower cabinets of my kitchen as well as my bathroom cabinets.

> 24 hourSo my husband is quite handy but most projects that are a little frustrating tend to inspire an array of expletives. We bought the cheaper screw in type at first which my husband hated . He essentially became a pirate . Do pirates curse a lot? I had a headache and within a day my 1 year old broke through them. I researched and read all the reviews. I ordered these, and hid as my husband installed the first one. He came into the nursery where my son and I played after about 5 minutes and thanked me! He thanked me! He sai these were so stress free and easy to install . Of course it took some time and hes not too excited about installing them on drawers but they work awesome. He told my son your mom just jammed you up buddy . My son can not get into them. Its a little more work to get into the cabinets for me but well worth it :) on to researching more for the other items in the house which my son is determined to injure himself on.

> 24 hourI love these locks! They were a little complicated to install, but other reviewers gave some useful tips which helped us install. Plus our cabinets are strange, so we had to adjust the template. Anyway, great product. We can turn them off when we dont have kids in the house and turn them on when we do have them. What I liked is that unlike normal childproof locks where you can open the cabinet a couple inches and depress the lock to open all the way, these keep the cabinet from opening at all. If you have bright little toddlers, they can figure those other ones out in a hot minute, and there goes your safety. These require the magnetic key, which can be stored safely out of reach ( we keep ours on top the fridge where it cant be seen or reached) keeping kiddos out. We opted to purchase an additional key because we have cabinets we wanted to keep locked on multiple levels of the house, and 1 key was impractical. The Amazon price, when we purchased, was right around $20 for 8 locks and 1 key. I saw a set at Target containing 4 locks and 1 key for around $14, so I feel real good about the Amazon pricing. Plus, we needed the extra key, which was just a few dollars more.

> 24 hourGOOD LOCKS FOR A FEW YEARS BUT NOW MANUFACTURER DEFECT IN SOME LOCK SETS.Let me begin by saying that I have purchased from Amazon and installed hundreds of these locks over the past several years.I have a cabinet shop and use them on my products. For the most part I have been happy with the locks, occasionally I would have a lock that would stick or not work properly.I usually order and install at least 30 individual locks each week.About a month ago I had a set of locks that the magnet would not open the lock through a cabinet door. The latch on the lock usually presses in with little effort but on these locks the latch was stiffer than normal.I thought maybe it was just a bad set and returned them to Amazon . Since then I have purchase about another 25 sets of locks.Out of that 20 I had to return 11 of them with the same issue. The problem is with the whole lock set and not individual locks in the pack.On one of my orders for 6 packs only two packs works properly. To see what the problem is I took a good working lock and a defective lock apart.Inside the working lock there is a thin small spring that is wound 4 times. The defective lock the spring is a little thicker and it wound 5 times. With the thicker stronger spring the magnet is not strong enough to open the through cabinet door .Im not sure if the manufacturer has meant to install a stronger spring for some reason but if they did the key will not work through a 3/4 thick cabinet door like they have for years. The problem is not specific to Amazon purchases.I went to a local retailer to purchase two pack of 8 locks while waiting for my Amazon replacements. One of those packs work fine and the other one has the stiff spring and would not work As I am writing this review I just received my 6 replacement packs from Amazon,Four of the packs are good and two of them have the stiffer spring.Hopefully the manufacturer is not in the process of changing to the stiffer springs in all their locks. If so the key will not work through most cabinet doors

> 24 hourWithout a doubt this is the best cabinet door locking system for RV cabinet doors that tend to pop open from vibration or movement while travelling down the road. There is some work involved in installing them (4 holes to drill for each door assembly and screws to install) but the effort is well worth it. We had always had a problem with doors popping open due to pressure of heavier items inside pushing against the doors as we travelled on bumpy or uneven roads. This has completely eliminated the problem. You only have to lock/unlock them before or after travelling. You leave them unlocked when stationary in a campground. We only installed them on the 6 doors that were causing the problem because of the material in those cabinets. There is no visible clue that you have a lock installed when the doors are closed and they can be removed and installed on different doors later. Any strong magnet will open the doors in case you lose the original magnet. When you apply the magnet it simply moves the lock latch while you open the door and then you can manually lock the latch in the open position. When you want to re-activate the locking mechanism you just open the door and flip the switch to allow the latch to engage when you close the door. We are fulltime RVers and in the 6 months weve had them theyve worked perfectly.
