I did not need tech support

My only problem was transferring the system to the new disk. MS backup is not helpful. I used a third party app successfully. Use CrystalDiskInfo to track expected lifetime. Get a disk at least twice your actual requirements so it can spread your data and avoid pounding the same cells.

Fast, easy installation. Samsung provides great, free tool to clone. A++++++++

I used it to install Arch Linux with Xfce on my laptop. Works great, no issue so far.

Very nice performance improvement when replacing a hard drive with this SSD. The Macrium Reflect Free software worked perfectly to do the clone.

This isnt the first Samsung ssd I have purchased and it also wont be the last. Performance is great. I replaced the HDD drive in my 5 yr old desktop and the difference in speed is amazing. Updating my old PC was hundreds of $ cheaper than buying new. Set up, for me a novice, went quickly and easily using the Samsung date migration app from their website. For me this ssd was a good choice and I am very pleased with the results. Be advised though...especially for a beginner. Only mounting instructions are supplied. Date transfer assistance can be found on Samsungs website and it is designed to support their ssds exclusively. The cloning app is simple to follow. Also a written tutorial can be downloaded for review before starting. Nice. Since I am not a gamer, I can not attest to its performance in that area.

hi i got ssd samsung. From the pros: everything is perfect, it works perfectly, the speed of work is just super, compared to the old hdd. Of the minuses - the box was rumpled, but this did not affect the work of ssd, the ssd itself was safe and sound

Product came earlier than expected. I use it for my MSI laptop. Perfect.

From a functional standpoint this is a great SSD, much improvement on the 860 EVO. The unexpected problem with it, or at least the sample of one I purchased, is that the sound quality of music files is noticeably better with the 860 EVO. I use the SSD in an Inateck enclosure, plugged into the back of an Oppo 203, and from there to some very good quality gear. So in comparing the 860 and 870 here there were only two variables, the drives and the enclosure. Since I have three of the same model Inateck enclosure to try, I was able to rule out that factor. When I first noticed the difference, maybe after 125 hours of SSD use, I wondered if it was a matter of burn in (maybe SSDs are like everything else from a sound standpoint). So I played it through my laptop continuously for 72 hours before comparing again. Nothing had changed. Maybe it needed more, but the deadline for return came.
