Unit works well as an internal backup for a 980 PRO main drive. I keep a clone image of the C: drive for quick background backup about once a week. Samsung has always been fast and reliable, so I always them for SSD. (I do use a WD Black for external backup).

I used this to replace my aging OS SSD for my gaming PC and the performance so far has been great. The process for migrating my old drive over using the Samsung Migration Software was quick and painless and the installation was very easy. There has been a significant improvmance in performance and I would highly recommend this product.

The SSD was easy to install, blazing fast, and I’m very happy with my purchase. My old gaming rig now performs like a brand new machine and boot up time is now just nine seconds. It used to be 30 seconds.

The 1TB Samsung Evo 870 is the perfect size, price point, and speed for upgrading slightly older computers and giving them more life. Ive purchased maybe 20-30 of these for my clients over the years. They always work, are easy to install, and the Magician software gives you useful info and easily allows you to maximize the speed of the drive. If you need a 2.5 SSD, you cant go wrong with this one. Highly recommend.

This is my third Samsung SSD. The previous two were 860 EVO models, this one is the revised and more robust 870 model. The oldest one has been serving me well for 10 years of heavy use now. I couldnt ask for a better quality peppy drive.

Replaced an old 1TB HD with the Samsung 870 EVO in my sons PC. Downloaded the disk clone software and then simply changed the connections from old HD to the SSD. Voila!
