> 3 dayThought the SSD received was a reject/DOA shipped to me. They seller should do a 1 page IMPORTANT NOTICE FOR WINDOWS 10 INSTALLATION or something close to that. The problem is, after decades of installing/replacing HDs in PCs, installing this type of Disk Drive isnt recognized when installed and the PC powered back on. Normally, a new device shows up in the Disk Manager and at most needs formatting.

> 3 dayI ordered this 4TB SSD to store my large music library. Initially, it seemed to format OK and work. Next thing I knew my computer wouldnt recognize the SSD. Ive never seen an SATA SSD drive behave this way, this fast. Im glad it failed before I copied my music collection to it. I tried the Samsung 870 EVO SSD in another computer and got the same result: dead. I also tried putting it in my external StarTech USB3 dock. Again, it wasnt recognized -- simply not there - stone cold dead! Obviously, a clunker from the beginning. All my other (and older Intel 520, Intel 730, Crucial MX200, MX300) SSDs work fine in both of my Ubuntu Linux computers and, I will add are built a lot better. The Samsung 870 EVO looks and feels like cheap plastic or very thin aluminum that wont hold up over time. $380.00 should buy better quality than this. I returned it to Amazon via their new QR code return system via UPS.

> 3 dayMigration Software Does NOT work with this Model. Seems to be excluded. Tried to use Macrium and they found the block size is not standard. No support from Samsung. If they do not find a solution, back tomorrow. Bites/Sector 4096 and old EVO 512. Guess I have to get the old 1 TB model...

> 3 dayThe free Samsung cloning software doesn’t say u need to create partitions, make the drive active format BEFORE trying to clone. Also doesn’t appear to b able to clone encrypted drives. Used 3rd party s/w

> 3 dayI work in IT and Im a big fan of Samsungs SSDs. Theyve proven themselves over the years with their speeds and reliability. I bought this small 250GB to revive an old MacBook that I got cheap on eBay and holy, it brought it from near-death to zooming. The MacBook had a failing 7 year old hard drive in it and this thing brought it back to life and then some. It made my 2012 MacBook Pro feel a few generations newer. I upgraded the RAM too but this thing made a significant difference as I knew it would.

> 3 dayBe sure to download Samsung Magician and transfer your data from the old drive to this new one in order to be able to use it. I had some initial confusion, but eventually figured it out. Solid upgrade for my wifes PC so she could play Hogwarts Legacy.

> 3 dayUsing it as a secondary drive for my main games and it works great. Had a problem with stuttering in some games as they load assets and this fixed that. Setup was a breeze.
