I had a hell of a time getting Linux on this stick in my Intel NUC7i7. But I finally did so. I do like fast solid state drives. Glad I didnt waste my slot on Optane.

Installed in an HP Envy X360 2-n-1 along with the original 1T 7200rpm original drive. Moved the OS and apps to the SSD and reformatted the 1T to be just for storage/iTunes library use. Its fast, worked perfectly and the Samsung data migration app worked perfectly. The hardest part was reformatting the old drive- Windows wouldnt mount it for me to be able to delete the partitions and reformat it... Windows tries to dumb down everything for users, but it actually makes it harder for people who want full control of their system. Anyway- the SSD rocks. Its nice to have both in one computer.

Reminiscent of the impact my first ssd had on me. The hype is real. No BS here.My only regret is that I could not afford the 500gb.

Nice improvement over my 950 Pro for about half the cost. I am using this drive as my boot (OS) drive and my 950 Pro for storage. My boot time on Windows 10 Creator Update is down to 10 - 11 secs and the system is so fluid and instantaneous. Needless to say, transferring large files between the boot drive and the storage drive happens in a blink. I will never go back to a SATA SSD. My current system is aging (Intel Core I5 4690S) but, with the performance maximization of these NVME SSDs, I cant imagine a new system performing noticeably better. I will hold on to this beast for the long term.

Very fast delivery. My recommendation on this product is to be familiar with M.2 key types. My board has a first generation M.2 slot which only works on a different key. If you do not have an M.2 M key with a lot of clearance, then it is likely you will need a M.2 PCIe SSD to PCIe3.0 x4 adaptor (especially if your board is more than a few years old). I recommend checking your board specs and becoming familiar with the various form factors of M.2 slot before purchasing.

Would not work as a boot drive in my ASUS Z97 E Motherboard .. Could use it as A storage drive ,but I purchased to use as op System boot drive. Returned it to Amazon .. I paid return Shipping as it was not Amazon fault it would not work with my board .. Likely would of purchased another motherboard known to work with the M.2 NVMe device .. If I would of known of the issue with the asus

Remember that feeling going from a HDD to SSD? You get that same feeling going from an SSD to this. Wow!
