> 3 dayVery fast nvme drive! I tested it with Crystal disk mark and it toped out at 3150MBps read and 2178MBps write. Plenty fast and makes games load in seconds.. fallout 4 on a hdd took over 60 sec, and on a sata ssd it took 25 seconds.... now its only a 11 second load time with tons of mods also to render.

> 3 dayMy kids and I have Alienware 17 R3/R4 gaming laptops. They are great computers but the normal 7200 RPM Hard Drives makes them a little slow to boot and open programs. I decided to bite the bullet and give these little drives a try. My laptop did have a 1TB, SSD (Evo 840) but after installing the New Evo 960 .m2, it was like Night and Day. The new drive made my older 1TB Evo 840 looked like a standard Hard Drive. I can’t believe how fast they are. All 3 laptops now boot in 15 seconds or less. For people pulling their hair waiting for their computers to boot up. If your computer supports it. Take the plunge and get one. You don’t have to have a gaming laptop to see a huge improvement. I bought 2 (256) and 1 (500) and they are all great. If you have an old laptop and can’t afford a new one. These drives will make your old computer feel like new again. Just install Windows on the new drive and use the 7200 Sata drive as storage. There’s no need to re-install windows again. The free Samsung migration software will take care of that. After I cleaned up my windows and deleted unnecessary programs, I cloned my Drive to the new one in less than 15 minutes.

> 3 dayI purchased a pair of these for our Synology NAS 918+. One acts as a READ cache, the other as a WRITE cache. I wanted to do all the upgrades before I started using the NAS heavily. It might be an overkill now, but we plan on hosting several virtual machines in the near future Been 3 months now and no issues (dont expect any issues either)

Greater than one weekBoots windows 10 in 2-3 seconds. coming from a data ssd boot drive, that seems like a relic at 11-25 second boot.

> 3 dayThis SSD has surprised me for how quick it is, I really recommend any PC user to have one at least for th operating system. You just need to check 2 things before: If your mobo has an nvme connector, if it doesnt have it you can get the converter (PCIE to NVME), and if the BIOS is compatible, if it isnt then check if you can flash it (I did).

Greater than one weekI bought this because I figured it was time to upgrade from my 5 year old Kingston 128GB SSD. Think of this as going from a regular 150hp grocery getter to a 2000hp drag racer. My old SSD had 200 read, 85 write for comparison. It’s RIDICULOUSLY fast. Around 5 second boot time. Moving files is a breeze and games no longer stutter for me at all since I can load them all on this drive. No more bottlenecks from a slow drive. If you’re getting this drive MAKE SURE you download the nvme driver from Samsung and don’t use their magician software as it doesn’t show the true speed of the drive due to a bug. Download crystaldiskmark v5 for real benchmarks. Aside from everything else the drive is a beast. If you’re looking for an upgrade and have m.2 gen 3 x4 on your board or an adapter get this you won’t be disappointed at all.

> 3 day-FAST-, easy to install, still amazes me what you can buy these days. 1 TB, nVME r/w speeds, about the size of stick of gum for $100 less than what I paid for a (at the time) top of the line 240MB (yes megabyte, not gig) hard drive...? sign me up.

> 3 dayIt didnt destroy my laptop (a thinkpad x1 extreme) but when installed and initialized, the laptop keeps running into an internal_power_error every time it boots up or wakes from sleep, even if its not in the booting options list. I havent resolved the issue, but it is very fast and does a good job at storing my heavy games. Just wish this wasnt an issue.

> 3 dayWorks perfect out of the box. Installation took about 3 minutes because I read the instructions slowly. This drive is so fast my OS needs a seat belt.

> 3 dayPiece of crap. Started doing continuous reboots (both Windows 10 & Linux Mint) after full shutdown of tower PC. Legacy HDD (from which I cloned this SSD in April) shuts down perfectly in both OS. NVMe drive operated normally until late July. Samsung customer no service has no advance replacement option (secured or otherwise), so one has to surrender their drive entirely while they troubleshoot it on their schedule. They also close help desk tickets within 24hrs if you arent able to respond with all of the information they demand. Purchased a WD Black Gen3 as replacement and abandoning Samsung for good. Thanks for giving me the Heisman, Samsung. Middle digit back at you. Although I still like my TV & Blu-Ray player, I foresee Sony in my future. Lot better bang for the buck.
