> 3 dayThis is fast!!! Dont buy a disk drive made out of a can of spinning rust for your new computer! I have this on my new Asus ROG motherboard, and everything is just plain FAST.

> 3 dayCrazy! Just insane fast. But yet so damn small. I had no idea this was new form factor NVMe - M.2. CAUTION you will need to make you have a special bracket for this OR your mobo is new and supports this native. Your mobo has dinky set of screws and double threaded stand off. It literaly plugs into the mobo like a SATA connection almost. your mobo will have like 3 holes away from the M.2 PIC plug in. They should be silver around holes threaded. You then just push in this bad boy into the socket and it will pop up! You then need to make sure you have the double threaded standoff in the appropriate hole. Then you gently push the EVO card down just enough so you can put the hair like screw in the divet of the SSD back slot. Gently screw it down and your set. ZERO issues with the mobo recognizing it. I have the ASUS Z170-A ATX DDR4. HIGHLY recommend this. I just more damn it! I want 3 of these! but my mobo looks like it only supports one ;(

> 3 dayMy kids and I have Alienware 17 R3/R4 gaming laptops. They are great computers but the normal 7200 RPM Hard Drives makes them a little slow to boot and open programs. I decided to bite the bullet and give these little drives a try. My laptop did have a 1TB, SSD (Evo 840) but after installing the New Evo 960 .m2, it was like Night and Day. The new drive made my older 1TB Evo 840 looked like a standard Hard Drive. I can’t believe how fast they are. All 3 laptops now boot in 15 seconds or less. For people pulling their hair waiting for their computers to boot up. If your computer supports it. Take the plunge and get one. You don’t have to have a gaming laptop to see a huge improvement. I bought 2 (256) and 1 (500) and they are all great. If you have an old laptop and can’t afford a new one. These drives will make your old computer feel like new again. Just install Windows on the new drive and use the 7200 Sata drive as storage. There’s no need to re-install windows again. The free Samsung migration software will take care of that. After I cleaned up my windows and deleted unnecessary programs, I cloned my Drive to the new one in less than 15 minutes.

Greater than one weekWorth every penny. I just wish they would include the screw. Not all motherboards come with the screw.

> 3 dayGreat stuff, lept through a couple hoops to get it working on an older board (Z77) but it works just fine and performs as expected. Samsung is and will be for the foreseeable future, top of the line. VNAND is excellent.

> 3 dayThis is a speed demon SSD NVMe storage stick. Its the fastest storage Ive owned to date. I keep applications and games on the drive, and everything loads quickly. Be sure to go to Samsungs website and load the driver for the device. It increased speed by 22%. In my case, they average about 40 degrees Celsius (102 F).

> 3 dayI watched reviews of fast ssds all the time. However all of those read/write benchmarks really dont mean anything unless youre constantly transferring large files from one really fast drive to another. Real world load times arent noticeably faster than standard 3.5 or m.2 sata ssds. My opnion.....if youre looking for an m.2 ssd and your pc/laptop is compatible, get a standard sata m.2 drive instead of a pcie nvme one. Youll save way more money or get way more drive space.

> 3 daySome minor tweaks after installation and this thing boots my PC in record time. Unbelievably fast file move times, zip/unzips, etc. This is a longer drive, so be wary of that when selecting, but other than that it is an M.2 drive and just works.
