    Used to replace a 5400 RPM, 1 TB HDD in a Mac Mini that seemed to take forever to boot up. Now my Mac Mini is comparable in speed to my MacBook Pro. Hopefully the prices will continue to drop as more drives become available

    This was purchased to squeeze a little more speed out of my 2 yr old Lenovo K450 desktop. The install was quick as I opted to get the SSD mount too. I attached it to the pull out plastic cradle thing that Lenovo PCs have. Once the drive was installed I powered up the machine and installed the Samsung Magician and Data Migration tool. These apps make this whole process quick and painless. Very easy to follow prompts. This free software has worked flawlessly for me now on three separate occasions over the last 2 yrs. I only ran into one issue after moving the data. The machine recognized the drive right away, but didnt see the Windows boot data when I entered the BIOS using the F1 method. I rebooted 6 times and tried various settings to get the new SSD drive to boot without success. I then prompted Windows to open the BIOS using the advanced recovery options through the OS and low and behold the boot data displayed correctly. I switched the boot order to use the SSD first and it fixed the problem. My PC is now almost 10 times faster. From off to prompting me for a pwd is a total of 6 seconds now. I highly recommend this drive for anyone who needs a fairly inexpensive way to speed up their PC.
