    My MacBook Pro had the slow 750GB 5400 RPM hard drive. I bought an external hard drive to do a Time Machine backup of my MacBook Pro. The Samsung was easy to install. Be sure to initialize it as Apple Extended Journal (takes a few seconds) before trying to restore the Time Machine backup. Once the backup was restored the MacBook Pro booted straight away. It now takes about 20 seconds rather than 1-2 minutes to boot up.

    Whatever size of SSD you choose from the Samsung 860 EVO line you will not be disappointed. These are the creme de la creme of the SSD storage market. I have 3 varying in size and a previous EVO line in my machines and these have never disappointed me. Zero failures, zero problems, just lightning speed and satisfaction.

    My Dell Inspiron 15 Laptop had been on its death bed for so long, however I was too stubborn to buy a new laptop for a couple hundred dollars. My boyfriend told me to buy one of these and it runs like never before. I boot my computer instantly as opposed to 10 minutes. Anyone with a sluggish computer should buy one of these.

    Works good. Had to go into drive management to activate and assign drive letter. May not be plug-in play for some computers. But not sure it is supposed to be.
