> 3 dayThis internal hard drive is great. My Apple MacBook Pro has improved a lot. It is much faster than before.

> 3 dayI installed these a couple of times in older Macs and now they run like new. Throw away your old drives, because you will never go back to the spinners once you have an SSD

> 3 daySo my other no-name brand SSD crapped out on me a while back, so I decided to up my storage capacity a bit, and the 860 EVO is already considered one of the best SSDs on the market as far as price/performance is concerned. With the recent drop in SSD prices, it was an easy choice. Not much else to say about it.

> 3 dayReplaced the 500 GB Hitachi TravelStar with the same size 860 EVO. The downloadable data migration software worked perfectly (it would be faster with a system that has a USB 3.0 port), and the Samsung Magician software installed without a problems.

> 3 dayAs expected from Samsung, performance it top level and the samsung magician software is good to track the ssd. i bought this for storing large games where were stored in a 5400rpm drove and it was super slow. Now all games load faster and still got a lot of empty space plus the endurance of the 2 TB drive is rated at 1200TBW which should last for quite a long time. Havent had any issues yet with any of my samsung ssds , the oldest one being more than 6 years and still going good.

> 3 dayWhile I wasnt looking, the price of SSD drives became reasonable. They used to be prohibitively expensive, but not any more. My 5-year old Lenovo G50-70 budget laptop was never fast, but when I upgraded to Windows 10, it got even slower. I ordered the Samsung 500 Gb SDD in hopes of making my Lenovo less frustrating to use. I used the free version Macrium Reflect 7 to clone the existing drive onto the Samsung SSD over a USB port. The transfer took about 30 minutes. Took the back off the laptop, removed the old harddrive, and installed the new SSD. Put the cover back on, put the battery back in, and hit the boot button. At first, the bios said it could not find a bootable drive, but after pressing the enter key a few times, the bios finally found the SSD and booted just fine. Actually, it booted better than fine. It booted FAST. My laptop never booted so fast before. Also, after boot, Windows 10 has this annoying habit of doing a bunch of housecleaning before it is ready. This would take two or three minutes with the old harddrive. With the SSD installed, my laptop boots up and is READY TO USE in about 30 seconds. Such an improvement. If you have an older slower laptop, this SSD will make a noticeable difference.

> 3 dayWorks wells. My Mac mini loads in seconds. For Mac it’s best to use Carbon Copy Cloner as Samsung doesn’t have software support for Mac. It was easier to install and clone than the cheaper WD drive I bought for my laptop.
