Samsung SSD 860 EVO 1TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E1T0B/AM)

The drive is part of an AMD 3700X build on an ASRock X570 MB. Out of the box, it achieved the performance advertised and was about 10 times slower than my PCI4.0 Corsair MP600. Looking to increase performance started reading some info and installing the Samsung Magician software did not do anything special. Finally noticed the update for the Magician software which I did. THis opened up the firmware update for the drive and also enabled rapid mode. What a difference! My 2TB 860 EVO actually has faster test results than my Force MP600.

LOVE IT ... my original laptop HD was taking over 4 minutes to load ... I swapped it out with this .. and from time I hit power to fully operational is less than 30 seconds ...

Replace old mechanical hard drives with a very fast solid state drive. Makes a big difference in speed.

Its probably the best value SSD out there. There might be newer more modern version now, but at the time I got this is was as good as could be found for the price. Like any SSD, it completely transforms your PC if you were previously running an old fashioned hard drive. I have bought 3 of these now and all are still performing perfectly. Included software makes the switch seamless.

Works like a dream. Notably faster than a HDD. With the upgrade to something like this. Installing windows/linux or cloning your old drive may require a little know how however, but easily done if you are familiar with this sort of stuff.

Im glad ssds have come so far. Samsung is leading the way, and Im glad I stuck with them for my solid drive. No issues installing, and seemless plug and play. I recommend, although M.2 drives are really where its at now.

My laptop hard-drive crashed and after much research decided on the Samsung SSD 860 EVO 2TB 2.5 Inch SATA III Internal SSD (MZ-76E2T0B/AM). Being a DIY person, I found it easy to install. So far I am very happy with my choice! Laptop is working perfectly!
