SAMSUNG T5 Portable SSD 1TB - Up to 540MB/s - USB 3.1 External Solid State Drive, Black (MU-PA1T0B/AM)

This is my second storage i bought and i really like it - light, compact and fast!

Slick, easy to carry and use, I am using it for TimeMachine backup for my mac

The storage capacity is fine and it is very lightweight and small. But even after using the cable provided, along with making sure to use the correct up-to-date USB slot, I never get the advertised transfer speeds. The max I go is like, 30mb/s. Maybe mine is broken or something - it works and gets the job done, but still disappointed in how slow it is.

When it comes to drone footage and traveling it’s a must these days to go with the Samsung portable SSD T5. My only problem is I should’ve gotten a 4 TB it’s already April and this one terabyte is just about full

Super fast transfers even going from usb 3 to usb C on macbook air!

I was able to copy data to this from a Mac, and then unable to access it through the Mac! Samsung’s tech support didn’t mention that the software required to access the sad, was no longer compatible with Mac’s OS. They also said that it had to be plugged in every few weeks to retain the data. Be careful! It seemed so nice and compact, that I’d bought another one before finding out this.

Having lost data like most people due to failed external hard drives, I decided to go to a solid state hard drive that is more robust. This product is not cheap. But, when you consider that for $350 you are able to keep from replacing 5 x $100 failed drives, it makes sense economically. But, another main factor in my decision was the read/write speed that is about 10X faster than my previous drives. Solid state has no read arm trying to find info on a spinning disk. No moving parts! Worth every penny!

This SSD is fast and works great.
