Requires a special driver to work with MacOS. Why? Other SSDs dont need it. Cant use native OSX encryption with it either. Not recommended for Mac users. Aside from that, fast and small.

Ok its fast if you plug it into usb 2.0 port directly I was getting a write speed of 195 mb/s on average and only 25mb/s when plugged into other slower usb ports so be aware of that. Its faster if you have a usb port that can use the speed so it depends on the hardware you have. It took 7 minutes to transfer a 88 gig file from a ssd (thats also fast) to the 1 tb ssd drive. I was getting a copy speed of 160 mb/s off a regular hardrive. I also made a ram disk to have no bottle neck to copy but it maxs out at 195mb/s which is what I was getting from usb 2.0. if it was 3.1 it would be even faster. Using it on an android phone transferring all files at once tends to get stuck transferring at a percentage but if you do 1 folder at a time it works well and is also fast when plugged into an android phone through usb C. If you have slow usb ports it will take a long time to transfer the data make sure if your pc has usb ports that you pick the right ones as not all of them are fast on some computers.

Expired software! Keeps disconnecting/ ejecting itself. I have a MacBook Pro and I tried downloading the software from the website but that crashes too. I got this at the same time I got a new segate SSD--which works just fine. Really disappointed since it got pretty great reviews.

After very poor stability since I bought the drive, it finally gave up the ghost today. It would be irritating in a cheap mechanical drive, but in a $100+ SSD its unforgivable. Never again!

I wanted to use this SSD for my pc. It works amazingly BUT everytime i want to use it on my pc I have to run a program and login in order to use it. Apart from that it works really great!

Ive had this drive for a few months now. Its replacing a portable spinning disk drive. The speed difference is enormous, even more than the numbers would suggest. Definitely recommended for any use case where speed matters at all. My only nitpick is that the cable was a little awkward sticking out of a laptop, so I got a right-angle 6 USB-C cable for it, which helped a bit.
