The Samsung T5 Protable SSD drive is a great storage device. It is compact and fits in your breast pocket or takes up almost no space in your briefcase or other carry bag. The read/write speed is fast and it handles media files with ease. I have two; one for data and the other for media. I carry both for use when necessary. And that they are SSD there is no need to worry about moving parts dying on you after a few months of use causing data loss or having to engage a professional recovery tool or technician. They are great devices! But do always regularly back up your files to another storage device as a precaution.

The safest and most reliable External hard drive I have ever had

Pretty sure I received a fake drive. I noticed that after I properly ejected the drive after renaming and installing the software, that it didnt keep the name. The software also says its not connected when it clearly is and was refreshed. I tried to reformat the drive and its only 44mb of space...when it try to reformat to Mac OS extended journaled, it wont complete the process and says that its not recognizable by my computer. I want my money back. And this was a prime day deal, so I wont get to purchase the drive at the discounted cost.

This would be a great buy except that the chord it comes with to connect it to a mac book will not stay plugged into the computer. If even the table that my laptop is sitting on wiggles just a little, the cord comes loose from the computer. Its a problem simply because its unsafe for the external drive to be continuously and improperly be disconnected from the laptop as well as that it slows my workflow as I have to constantly be interrupted by the disconnect and wait for the computer to re-read the external drive and continue where I left off. Its just disappointing that I invested in this product and the chord that came with it for Apple computers doesnt even fit well enough to stay in at the smallest movement. Ive even had it come loose just from doing work over a 30 min period and disconnect.

Though this is on the higher end in terms of price, this SSD is on the top end in terms of function. I used it as an external hard drive to run windows on my MacBook Pro and it has handled it with ease.

It is not working. Windows keep trying to scan it even after formated 5x!

I own several smaller capacity units of these by Samsung and have been very pleased with them

Great price for SSD, size and speed. I actually game off of this on my alienware laptop (limited hard drive). if you have a usb 3.0 no speed challenges. it will crush any video/high output needs. perfect for large file back-ups and easy to set-up protocols.
