SAMSUNG T5 Portable SSD 1TB - Up to 540MB/s - USB 3.1 External Solid State Drive, Black (MU-PA1T0B/AM)

Drive arrived in UN-opened box with all seals intact. It worked fine when pugged to 3.2 plug on computer.

This SSD plugged into my computer and it instantly worked. Backed up thousands of pictures, hundreds of documents, and iPhone backups in less than 5 minutes. Simply effective.

The T5 did not work when tried to enable security and update it. I allowed it through my macs firewall but no change. Samsung says to reinstall it by looking for the cleanup files, but they are not there.

Unless you DISABLE the samsung security software prior to installing/upgrading to Mac os 10.14.5, you will not be able

After moving all my music, movies, and photos to my Samsung T5 2 TB SSD I immediately realized, I’m going to run out of space much sooner than I anticipated. I could have bought another brand’s 4 TB drive for MUCH less but I decided to go with quality I trust. It’ll be a while yet so I hope Samsung decides to make SSDs at least up to 4 TBs in the future.

Damn fast storage in an eeency weeecny package.

Ive been using this SSD to run a Windows VM on my Mac, and its really sped everything up. I have an older Macbook Pro, with no USB C ports, so the extra USB A cable supplied with the drive really helped. The drive has really made a difference with my work, and I would highly recommend it to people.

About 6 months back I purchased this for my dad so that he could store his created YouTube videos. He says it works great for that purpose. I have another need and want to be 100% sure and confident it will be able to do the job before I purchase it for myself.

Works as advertised - super fast speed.
