This is an astoundingly simple product, and because of that, its very durable. All of the parts will no doubt last a lifetime, I cant imagine something damaging this outside of throwing it in a fire for a few minutes (jerk!). Its very quick to swap out sandpaper and is more comfortable than a lot of alternatives. Ive sanded things once or twice in my life. 5/5 would Time Shaver Tools P10 Preppin Weapon again.

great for hand sanding. This makes a world of difference. I cant believe I didnt have one of these all this year.

I bought this based on a Finewoodworking article. The foam rubber is so thick and soft that the sandpaper tears every time you sand near a corner. It only works in the middle of large flat surfaces. There are better cheaper alternatives.

Fits the hand decent, though not perfect it’s a lot better than a piece of 2x... I’ll more than likely buy more...

I do woodworking and purchased a Time Shaver Tools - Preppin Weapon at a woodworking show about 5 years ago. I love the fact that I can cut a regular size sheet of sandpaper into 4 usable pieces. You can easily stack the 4 sheets on the Preppin Weapon at one time. It is easy to then remove a sheet (layer) when the sandpaper becomes dull, exposing the next new sheet with almost no down time. The sanding area of the Preppin Weapon is just right and it has a firm flat base (not too hard or soft). This is my go to tool for hand sanding. Although, I have used the Preppin Weapon quite often in the past 5 years, it is still holding up just fine. Today I purchased another from Amazon as a backup just in case I ever damage or lose my current one. The build quality is outstanding and I do not mind paying a little more for a quality tool that will last years. You can probably find a knock-off tool that costs less but, as usual, you get what you pay for.

Very nice. 9x11 sheet cuts in 4 pcs making sanding sheets go further. Easy to attach and they’re held securely

I use power tools for most sanding, but do hand sanding just before staining. I also hand sand between protective coats. This give a great smooth finish. The only problem is it is heavy. If the job is large you will really feel it. I didnt try to take it apart but I feel sure it could be lighter without compromising its function.

This is my second one. The first one is still being used almost daily, I just wanted a second one to have handy for usng other grits of sand paper. I HIGHLY recommend and endorse this product. Workers great on wood, metals, plastics, etc, anything thatd needs a steady hand and a smooth sanding finish.

this hand sander feels great. the paper loads super easy. And it uses more of the surface of a piece of sandpaper than the rubber hand sanding blocks do. This is a MUST!

This thing is fantastic for Woodworking!! I can see why it has almost 400 ratings at 4.8. Should be 10K++ at 5-Stars in my opinion. I understand why some people say they bought several. All sanding CAN be done with a machine but quality finish sanding MUST be done by Hand IMHO. This makes that so much easier and yields a better result. This is also fantastic for sanding with the grain in between grits. It really helps to smooth out the swirls left by machines. As far as being somewhat difficult with sandpaper because it could be shorter... eh maybe?? Id buy another one if they made it slightly shorter but still keep and use this one. My only comment on the paper is that you need to be sure that when cutting to fit, you dont rip the paper. If you rip or tear the sandpaper (so that its not a perfectly straight cut along the long edge) that tear will catch on the wood surface eventually. Then youll need to trash that piece (or use it another way). Im not exactly sure why someone would review this as not so great for Woodworking. That doesnt make sense to me, but everyone has different experiences. I think this is great for long, even sanding strokes so that you dont take too much off near an edge or in the middle with a smaller block. Again, just my opinion... I think this is great for Woodworking.
