Very good product that does exactly what it is supposed to, but after buying it, it seems way more expensive than it needs to be (no rocket science here).

Im an old school wood worker and usually make a custom block in the shop for a fraction of the what these blocks cost. Ive only used this on one project, butcher block table top, and it worked great, wet and dry. I only bought one but think it would be a big time saver to load up the various colors with various grit to get thorough a sanding process more efficiently. Good well made product and a great size for my grip.

These Preppin Weapon sanding blocks are so well made and easy to use that I have subsequently ordered another one. I ordered a third one after that, and I am planning on getting a two more. I should have bought these years ago, but could not imagine paying the price, now I realize they are a great value. They are a huge time saver, and facilitate better sanding results.

But the Preppin Weapon makes it as tolerable as it can be. Dimensions are correct so you use a whole sheet without a narrow strip left over. The attachment mechanism is great - solid and secure, absolutely doesnt slip. The foam base has just the right amount of give. Feels good in your hand and is really comfortable to use. Cant believe I waited so long to buy one...

Wow, what a difference this product makes in sanding. Before I had a couple of random blocks from a big box store, which I found to be a huge waste of paper. Becuase there was no way to remove the sandpaper efficiently when I wanted to switch grits, I ended up tearing them out and losing a lot of paper that way. This product just uses an 1/4 sheet so you can fold the sheet and stick it right in there. The locks are great, and hold the paper quite tighly which eliminates the sandpaper tearing where it would if it was not held taunt. THe great benefit to this is also that you can just quickly remove it and switch out grits when you need to and reuse the paper if you need to back to the grit. Shipping from this seller was quick and efficient, highly recommended. Buy several if you want to, youll save money in the long run from being able to reuse the sandpaper.

Red for Coarse (be careful!), Yellow for Medium and Green for 220 grit. I can pick up what I need without having to question grit or stop and change paper. Expensive in my opinion, but worth the price...very durable.

Just buy this sander. This is the best cut paper sander I have used and I have tried five or six. Bought another when I bought this. This is the best. Holds a quarter sheet very firmly and makes full contact with the platen. Heavy, solid feel with a great grip.

$20+ to hold sand paper?? I can do that with a twob’four!! That’s what I thought until I tried it. Now I have two. I use them mostly for softening edges on hardwood furniture. Several things make this irreplaceable: - firmly holds on to your sandpaper - uses almost 100% of the quarter sheet strip (no wrapping most of it around a block) - heavy weight and long length improves sanding consistency—important for making those edges look and feel just right. - the firm foam-like bottom has just the right amount of softness for smooth sanding Unfortunately, we spend more time than we’d like sanding. It’s worth investing a little bit to make it more enjoyable and do a better job of it.

I use power tools for most sanding, but do hand sanding just before staining. I also hand sand between protective coats. This give a great smooth finish. The only problem is it is heavy. If the job is large you will really feel it. I didnt try to take it apart but I feel sure it could be lighter without compromising its function.
