> 3 dayThis sanding block holds a 1/4 sheet of common sandpaper very well, and is easy to grip for sanding. Glad I found this item, much easier to use than the rubber blocks Ive had for years.

Greater than one weekVery handy sanding block. Outstanding quality. I have two so that I can pre-load a back up sanding block.

> 3 dayI do woodworking and purchased a Time Shaver Tools - Preppin Weapon at a woodworking show about 5 years ago. I love the fact that I can cut a regular size sheet of sandpaper into 4 usable pieces. You can easily stack the 4 sheets on the Preppin Weapon at one time. It is easy to then remove a sheet (layer) when the sandpaper becomes dull, exposing the next new sheet with almost no down time. The sanding area of the Preppin Weapon is just right and it has a firm flat base (not too hard or soft). This is my go to tool for hand sanding. Although, I have used the Preppin Weapon quite often in the past 5 years, it is still holding up just fine. Today I purchased another from Amazon as a backup just in case I ever damage or lose my current one. The build quality is outstanding and I do not mind paying a little more for a quality tool that will last years. You can probably find a knock-off tool that costs less but, as usual, you get what you pay for.

> 3 dayLets face it. Sanding sucks. I spend 40 hours making something and then it seems like another 40 hours sanding and finishing. The preppin weapons make the sanding part much easier. You can quickly make a single cut on a standard sheet, flip the levers on the preppin weapon, put in the sheet, and lock levers back. Takes 20 seconds and speeds things up. The bottom is slightly padded, maybe 1/8 inch to make the sanding a little smoother. I bought one, like it a lot, then bought one of every color (there a six colors, not all available on amazon). I have several other sanding block systems but they are lesser quality and I dont use, all soon to be in trashcan. I wrote the grit size on each one, in the order of the rainbow (roygbiv) from corse to fine. Now it much easier and frankly faster to hand sand. I still use random orbit first to 120, but then switch to the preppin weapon to get up to 180. Then 220 after first coat of finish, 300 after all subsequent coats. Highly recommended.

> 3 dayStupid-smart engineering. > The dual locks on the ends are extremely effective in securing the sandpaper. > Perfectly sized for standard sheets of sandpaper My only note is that it definitely has a hefty grip - if you have small hands, you might get frustrated. But it does the job very well

> 3 dayI tried sanding with just the plain sandpaper and it really stunk. It just was not effective. I kept losing my grip. The sandpaper was ripping. I just couldnt get the force I needed to truly sand the way I liked. This tool is heavy duty (well made) and very easy to use. I would definitely recommend it.

06-06-2025Ive bought four of these sanding blocks. The are just what I need. Theyll numerous sheets of wet/dry paper and this cotton buffing pads. Theyre easy to load, easy to hold and are weighted perfectly. I only wish they came in more than one size. Please keep making the Preppin Weapon.

> 3 dayI took the advice of some of the reviewers and bought 3 of these (Red, Yellow, Green) for different grits. I finally got the chance to use them earlier this week, and I absolutely love this product. Easy to load, great fit in my hand, large flat 1/4 sheet surface, light weight. I absolutely love it. So much so, that I just added the blue one to the cart as well. I do wish the pad was a higher durometer foam, that may be some improvement Ill make down the road.

> 3 dayI keep four of these handy with 4 different grits. They are ready to grab and put to use. Fit my hand well. Would like to have a smaller size available for tighter places, perhaps half the width and half the length but the same design.
