> 3 dayThere’s a time and a place for an orbital sander, but I hand sand when I can, and have always enjoyed it. Have used a variety of sanding blocks, and never gave them much thought. And then I got the Preppin’ Weapon. (This is an awesome name, btw.) I love it! I told my husband it is my favorite thing in my tool shop, and is my favorite amazon purchase EVER. The important details to me: 1) The weight. It’s substantial enough, with evenly distributed weight, that I don’t feel like I have to push it or muscle it, resulting in a much more even surface, with no unintentional deep marks. It glides. 2) Shape/size: I’m a somewhat taller than average woman, average weight, and this fits perfectly in my hands. And I think it is sized and shaped well enough to fit most hands. 3) It HOLDS the paper, with a perfect and simple clip on each end. No slipping! 4) It is already saving me sandpaper. Good sandpaper is a must, and this seemed a little pricey to me. But between saving paper and increasing the quality of my work, I’m ready to buy more so I can have several grits loaded!

> 3 dayIm an old school wood worker and usually make a custom block in the shop for a fraction of the what these blocks cost. Ive only used this on one project, butcher block table top, and it worked great, wet and dry. I only bought one but think it would be a big time saver to load up the various colors with various grit to get thorough a sanding process more efficiently. Good well made product and a great size for my grip.

Greater than one weekThis was a Christmas gift last year and this is the first time I had to use it on the chop of my workbench I built this year. A sanding block is something that almost doesn’t deserve a review I think but I really like this. It’s size is perfect for straightening out an edge which is what I used it for today. It fits perfectly in the hand and I think this may reduce fatigue ‘cause I used the heck out of it and my arm was tired but not my hand. I wasn’t sure how well the clamps would hold the paper, it just didn’t look that secure to me. Well rest assured, the paper is still on the block on both ends and not a tear to be found. Only thing wrong with it is that I need another two or three.

> 3 dayMy friend turned me onto these sanding blocks and theyre great. I got three of them! They feel very comfortable in my hand and changing the paper is very easy. Sanding is always a pain in the *ss but now at least I can be comfortable while Im doing it.

> 3 day$20+ to hold sand paper?? I can do that with a twob’four!! That’s what I thought until I tried it. Now I have two. I use them mostly for softening edges on hardwood furniture. Several things make this irreplaceable: - firmly holds on to your sandpaper - uses almost 100% of the quarter sheet strip (no wrapping most of it around a block) - heavy weight and long length improves sanding consistency—important for making those edges look and feel just right. - the firm foam-like bottom has just the right amount of softness for smooth sanding Unfortunately, we spend more time than we’d like sanding. It’s worth investing a little bit to make it more enjoyable and do a better job of it.

> 3 dayI like it a lot better than that rubber thing with one broken ear and nails sticking up. Its a good length too, and flat. Works good. Costs too much.
