> 24 hourGood news: Excellent support from Seagate and Amazon. Bad News: First one did not work, Seagate support was amazing and determined a bad device, Amazon quickly delivered a new one the next day. Second one worked but was also giving errors and made my husbands computer not work after a reboot. There is something wrong with the current batch of this device April 2023. We have the data on the harddrive but my husband does not want to connect it to his computer and neither one of us at this point want to use it to reformat and return!!!! Wasted money.

> 24 hourDetach the drive before you let computer go into sleep or hibernate, otherwise after wake up the encryption software will prevent access, system might not be able to identify the hardware thus telling you that the drive needs check and repair, and you cant safely remove

> 24 hourI must be one of the lucky ones as my ultra touch has been working great. I formatted two separate partitions for my Mac to use as both a time machine and a backup storage. Not hard at all to use and set up so I would recommend.

> 24 hourFirst I love the compact size and then the price for 2T is very good. It wasnt hard to set up with my MacBookPro. Once I went through the downloaded installer and was able to go to the Time Machine in my system preferences and check this as my preferred backup device. The first backup is a little over one hour but I have a lot to download so the time to do this is fine with me. I also liked the fact that it came with a USB-C adaptor so I didnt have to go to an Apple dongle. I have used G Drives in the past but the prices are extremely high now if all you are doing is backing up to your personal computer. I am not a tech savvy person but I didnt need any tech support to get this running.

> 24 hourHi, it is a good product, nice ergonomics, good to hold, but: Toolkit is an awful application, with no help, very hard to find the settings there. The second flawback is the customer support, as Mylio and the Adobe Creative cloud come with this, I chose this over other products, but it did not work with instructions written, and the support was no help, they do not help at all... Useless to write. But the storage is 2TB, and I turned off the security, as it is not cross-platform, on one device it brings the modal to write password, on another it opens empty, with no field to fill to access. That is all, but I think I could have bought other drive with same capacity with less money and the better support, quality and programs.

> 24 hourI’m using this to hold automatic backups for my Mac. It was basically plug-and-play. It’s been doing its job faithfully for a couple of months more.

> 24 hourI use this to mirror my backup folder on my Mac. Works well and performs fast and silently. Well made. Great look n feel. Easy plug and play. No regrets with this hard drive.

> 24 hourAfter using this product for 3 weeks I find the hardware to be okay (cant say much after 3 weeks) but the software is extremely poorly written. Very sparse user interface. Once you set up a backup plan theres apparently no way to edit it. Mine stopped backing up files 5 days ago, and theres no way to check to see whats wrong, no way to restart it, etc. This is supposed to be automatic but once Windows goes into sleep mode the software just stops working. Hard to believe this comes from a major hard drive vendor. I submitted a question to Seagate this morning. If I dont receive a workable, dependable solution within 2 days Ill return the product to Amazon as defective. A backup solution needs to be automatic. Too bad the company that made Click-Free years ago is no longer around. That product worked. Probably secondary to the geniuses at Microsoft putting too many hurdles in their way to keep the product useful from one version of Windows to the next.
