Would not purchase this product again. I loved it when I first tried it but I have only used it about 10 times and twice have had to declog it. Too narrow of a space between the head and the stick. Dog hair was mostly the culprit.

I’m in love with this vacuum! It’s so easy to use on hard floors and carpet. The charge lasts for me to vacuum my home 3 times. I love that I can fold it and not have to mount it to a wall when stored. I have zero complaints

We were excited to have a cordless stick vacuum with 2 batteries but after about 10 months it started losing suction, stopped spinning, spit out crumbs etc. Very disappointing considering the price!

We have a Dyson wireless vacuum that I absolutely love. It’s maybe the second or third iteration of the portable vacuum so it’s an older model. When we bought it Dyson was the only company that made this style vacuum so I decided to splurge and buy it! I decided to give Shark a try now that this style is mainstream because this got good reviews and is a lot cheaper. Dyson has much better suction and just does a better job at picking everything up in one pass. However, the Shark is much more consistent. Our Dyson attachment would always clog or break and stop running in mins of use and there was always some work that would need to be done to get it back up and running. I don’t have this issue with the Shark vacuum. There’s also some handy features - I like that the main tube bends to get under couches. I also like the lights on the main attachment. The overall runtime is better than my older Dyson but maybe new iterations are better at this. I only got about 20-30 mins and now I get about an hour. I will update if anything major changes my opinion but overall, a nice vacuum. Not as powerful as Dyson but there are other factors that make this a worthwhile choice.

I only have to go over the floor to pick up all the dust, dirt, and cat hair once! And it makes me so happy to not have to go over and over every area! And the dumping of the container is so easy I can’t begin to tell you the difficulty I had with my last vacuum. Thank you!

TL; DR: This Shark vacuum sucks, and not the way you want it to. I already put it back in the box to return it for a Dyson. I would NOT recommend this vacuum to anyone, friend or foe. I bought this Shark Vertex Cordless to replace our old, dying Dyson V6 Animal Cordless. I read many reviews and watched a ton of YouTube videos comparing vacuums when I started looking for a new vacuum. I had a Shark Navigator Pro before the Dyson, and I know Shark makes a good, powerful vacuum, so I was excited to try this new model and technology. Basing my opinion of using the vacuum on having used a Dyson for the last 4-5 years, I was more than disappointed with the Shark Vertex. The Shark Vertex seemed like it was great. It went together easily and the crevice tool did well between the couch cushions and around the edges of the house. I liked the flexible arm that let the vacuum bend to get really far under furniture like my tables and sideboards. It was easy to empty the canister and easy to use. Thats all of the pros. After using the vacuum around the house for about 30 minutes, a clog developed in the first joint of the vacuum, which is the joint that takes the dirt from the head into the tube to take it up to the canister. This clog (half of which is pictured; my husband grabbed and threw out the first half before I could get it all done) was so big it extended from the opening of the vacuum suction hole on the bottom of the motorized head, all the way up to where the head attached to the main long arm. I grabbed a pair of tweezers to grip the clog and pull it out, but that didnt work. Then I got the screwdriver to try and pull it out, but only got the initial portion of the clog out that way. After looking into the vacuum heads mechanics, I found that there are three lock screws on the underneath that allow you to take off the bottom guard piece to access the suction tube, which means Shark knew this was a problem and they fixed it by giving more work for the consumer to do. After removing the thin little bottom guard piece, I was able to use a cat wand toy to shove through the bottom to push the clog out the other side. This mess pictured on my couch was the result. And after all that, I still had to put the vacuum back together to finish vacuuming up all the dirt and hair mess that the vacuum made. As someone who has severe dust and environmental allergies, I dont exactly want to play with clogs of my allergens in order to get my vacuum running. I also have a large house, two long haired Siberian cats, four teenagers, and a job. The LAST THING I have time for is housework and messing around with crappy vacuums. For the price point, Id expect this vacuum to actually work properly, and not take a ton of work to use it. The entire thing felt wobbly when fully connected and used to vacuum floors, so I didnt see the expected excellent quality of materials or workmanship for the price point either. Furthermore, as several reviewers stated (and I dismissed as being overly sensitive), the vacuum did shock me multiple times with static electricity buildup, even though I was carrying my metal cell phone to try to help discharge the shock. I live in New Hampshire, and yes, it is dry during the winter and something Ive come to expect is shocks from static charges, which is why I dismissed others concerns about the shocks. However I quickly became aware that they werent overstating their issues, it was very annoying. Another con to this vacuum is that when I was vacuuming my couch where the cats lay, it wouldnt pick up all the cat fur regardless of how many passes I made. The suction just wasnt powerful enough, or maybe the static buildup offset the suction, gluing the cat hair to the couch in dreadlocked strands. Besides all this, the vacuum was very heavy and bulky, and I didnt like it almost immediately after I started using it. Im not the best housekeeper as a busy mom with depression, and our Dyson battery wasnt holding a charge anymore and the unit was on its last legs as it was beat pretty hard during daily use so it wasnt performing up to par. So maybe there was just a larger than normal buildup of dirt and cat hair that made the clog inevitable, but honestly I have enough to deal with, and for $350 I expect a vacuum to just WORK. I buy vacuums to make my life easier, otherwise Id just sweep the floors and take my rugs outside to beat them like they did in 1889. This thing will be going back to Amazon tomorrow, and Ill be placing my order for the Dyson V11 Animal. Id rather pay twice as much and know for a fact that my vacuum will work when I need it to, how I need it to. Save yourself the headache and dont get this Shark Vertex Cordless vacuum.

Really like this vacuum. Great for a multi dog household and I use it daily. The two cons are not being able to keep the attachments, at least one, directly on the machine. The biggest con would be the shocks. Whew! It zaps quite hard and it seems to get worse as time goes on. I use a silicone oven mitt to keep from getting zapped.

Not does what it said, but make life a lot easier, no more looking for outlets it gets under furniture that I was never able to get to. Hey! Get one you won’t regretted.

Light and great swivel...cleans excellently...long battery use even with one but (I got an extra battery)...I purchased the fold down model and it is a fantastic feature. Dust cup is a bit small but since the vacuum is lightweight and not full size its fine. Be sure to put it low into the waste basket to empty so dust doesnt fly out. I wipe the inside with a baby wipe after removing the debris. Easy to store. Great all around!

I used this vacuum about 20 times and then went to get it out from the cabinet that I store it in and it wouldnt unfold. now the selling point for me with this vacuum is that it stores in a small under sink cabinet. the other selling point would be for the vacuum to vacuum. but with the vertex stick not unfolding, the vacuum is useless. I couldnt find the part on their website to order so I called and they wanted too much for it so I just scrapped it. When it worked, it was amazing but, as with most shark products ive purchased, if a small part of it goes bad, its better to just find a replacement than to try to repair it. Going back to my Kirby
