> 3 dayWe have slippery steps on the back porch, and woods and a creek down below. My 2 year old could unlock and open the sliding glass door. Even a wood dowel couldnt keep her inside. Only took a couple seconds to install this safety latch and now I dont have to worry about her getting outside and getting injured or lost. This wont be strong enough to keep an intruder out, but its definitely capable of keeping a toddler in. The adults in the house occasionally forget to unlock it before trying to slide the door open. Even with it been accidentally rammed into many times over the last several months, it is still secure and holding strong. Very satisfied with my purchase.

> 3 dayWeve added these to our doors for summer that lead to our pool. We have a lock plus floor lock on it but it still makes me nervous. It adheres well. it was a bit crooked and was a pain to get off to put a new one on more straight. So it WILL stick to the glass surface and wont come off without REALLY trying hard. Im not sure how well it will work but we will try it.

> 3 dayI purchased these for extra security for a new apartment but didnt realize that older, less maintained sliding doors might not have enough clearance to slide over these locks. I wasnt able to use them on my sliding glass door, so keep that in mind. They probably work well on most, newer sliding doors though.
