> 3 dayMy little guy is a runner so I was looking for something to put on the sliding door. These are the absolute best. We have one on our sliding door and it has stopped him from opening and running out the door many times now. One of my best purchases for sure.

> 3 dayMy 3-year-old figured out the locks on our sliding doors, so we needed something that would prevent her from opening the door but still make it easy for us to let the dogs out. This was the perfect solution and is very strong. Ive pulled the door open hard a couple of times on accident, and it hasnt budged!

> 3 daySo this is another toddler safety item we purchased that was a total dud. Completely useless and NOT SAFE to trust. My toddler has a room upstairs & we wanted to keep him from getting out the windows and falling to his doom. The included adhesive holds the device to the window very well, but thats where the positives end. The device itself is very flimsy and cheaply made first of all. Secondly, the mechanism of action is a complete headscratcher. I assumed that the device would be locked in place by default, and squeezing both small tabs at once would unlock or release the big flap part and allow an adult to open a window. Its the OPPOSITE, which is mind-bogglingly dumb. The device obstructs the window by default, sure, but you can just PRESS THE BIG FLAP DOWN to unlock it. You then squeeze the two tabs to lock the window. So the easiest thing in the world for a toddler to do is the part thats supposed to protect them, and then the only part thats hard for a toddler is the locking part that we dont care about. It should be EASY to lock and then DIFFICULT to unlock, obviously. To be clear, a toddler can just lean on this or bop it with their little hands and it will lock itself closed, meaning that the window can then be opened..... Its literally designed to be easy to unlock, which is crazy. I puzzled over this for a little bit and then realized that this is *probably* originally an item for securing the window against outside intruders. They then just rebranded the graphics for the listing and maybe the injection molded colors to be more toddler friendly and are attempting to sell it for toddler safety, which is hilariously negligent. Some parents are inevitably dumb enough to fall for this without even contemplating the mechanism, but thats still crappy and unethical as heck. Stay far, far away from this product.

> 3 dayThis is a must have if you have kids and sliding doors! I would recommend putting it all the way to the top. I didn’t do that on the first one I installed and then I could get it off to move it. They do prevent the door from opening and they have held up great.
