Greater than one weekOverall, it does what it says. Once you place them they hold sliding doors/windows from opening. There were a few items I didnt like though. First, the sticking pad is a very solid 3. The first lock I placed left a sliding gap larger than I liked so I took it off. This was very difficult and I was worried I would end up breaking the glass from the amount of pressure I needed to try and cut it loose. After that, I ended up cutting out a hole in the center for when it would be time to remove them. Like I said, the sticking pads themselves are very solid, it didnt affect their ability to hold the lock in the least. The second thing I didnt like is that the lock cannot be set flush with a sliding door or window. Doing so prevents the rubber weather strip from closing properly once the its shut again. This means you have to off-set it by about the width of the weather strip. On one of my doors this was about 1/4 and it let the sliding door open enough for my toddler to stick a finger through. So, while I dont worry that hell be able to open the door, or that with that small gap hell slam the door on his fingers, I do have to keep an eye that he doesnt try to open the door and get his fingers stuck. The last thing I didnt like was how hard the locks release buttons are to reset. To reset, or unlock, you need to press the popup lock on top & bottom, and perpendicular to the window or door. I dont think thats necessarily an issue on medium or small windows, but on a sliding door you can see the glass bending. Overall theyre ok, and these issues are probably less pronounced when used on windows. I might do more shopping comparisons though, if looking for a sliding door lock replacement in the future.

> 3 dayWe have slippery steps on the back porch, and woods and a creek down below. My 2 year old could unlock and open the sliding glass door. Even a wood dowel couldnt keep her inside. Only took a couple seconds to install this safety latch and now I dont have to worry about her getting outside and getting injured or lost. This wont be strong enough to keep an intruder out, but its definitely capable of keeping a toddler in. The adults in the house occasionally forget to unlock it before trying to slide the door open. Even with it been accidentally rammed into many times over the last several months, it is still secure and holding strong. Very satisfied with my purchase.

Greater than one weekThis thing was so great for us when my two year old figured out how to open the sliding glass door onto the deck. I wish there were half star options because this would be 4.5 for me. The only thing that isnt great about it is that if I pull hard enough on the sliding door I can get it to open when the safety latch is engaged. Not a huge deal for me. It takes a good amount of force to get it to open when locked and I dont think my toddlers are strong enough.

> 3 dayThis is an awesome investment. Very affordable and great for piece of mind. Our toddler was able to open the sliding glass door and this prevents him from opening the door now. It is easy to install by just removing the backing from adhesive and sticking to clean window. It has 2 push buttons on the top and bottem that allow you to engage and disengage as needed. No more letting messy dogs in or traipsing around the back yard in a diaper alone. Haha. Highly recommend!

> 3 dayThese were bought for my granddaughter, as she is learning to open the sliding glass doors. These work great. They adhere very well to the glass, and they are strong. I bought the white ones. They don’t look bad and when you need to open the slider, they snap closed flat, giving plenty of room for the slider to open.

02-06-2025I absolutely love these so much! I was looking for an easy solution to keep my little one from opening the back sliding door and this has been a life saver. The adhesion is super strong. Make sure you don’t place it too close to the door where you can’t close the component when placing it on the door. 10/10 recommend this product.

> 3 dayIt does work for locking a sliding door or window but it is hardly a child proof lock, to deactivate the lock all you have to do is push the cap down and then you can open the door/window, so if you don’t install it high enough your kid will easily deactivate it, it would make soooo much sense if you needed to push the lateral buttons at the same time while you push the cap down in order to deactivate it, that way even if the child reaches the lock it would be really difficult for them to unlock it. Also as other comments say, the glue is super strong so lets say it was good that I only needed 1 lock and it came 4 of them because as I try to install it for the first time I barely place it for a second against the window and it got instantly super glued, I needed to move it a little bit to the left and it was really hard to take off and install another one again. As I said, it keeps the door from opening but not really happy with the purchase overall.
