I used this to replace an iDevices three-way switch which worked great but the two switches lost connectivity from each other from time to time as they use Bluetooth to sync (I think). This one works slightly better, hasnt had the lost-sync problem yet...and met my criteria of support for all three major voice assistants. Im a big fan of Meross products and this one is no exception. Outstanding quality for a very good price...and support when you need it!

I have installed several Meross switch products with HomeKit compatibility, and am overall happier with these switches than others that I have tried (mainly from Lutron and Leviton). Given the overall favorable reviews, I thought I would identify several issues that buyers should be aware of before moving forward. I like the Meross products, so I hope they expand and improve their product line. First, Meross provides the wrong size/thread screws for mounting their switches to US junction boxes. They should be 6-32 machine screws but they are not. OK, no big deal, so I used the screws that are already on my switches. Well, those have round (instead of flat) heads. They bulge out just enough that it is essentially impossible to get the snap-on switch plate attached. There are reviews on this or other Meross switches that complain of the same problem with the covers, but they dont identify that this is the problem. Second, the leads are permanently attached to the switch box. I would much prefer screw or push-in terminals. Every Meross switch has at least four leads, which increases the number of ends in a junction box. I am certainly not an expert on the National Electric Code, but I do know that there are limits of how many wires can be in a junction box with a given volume. Two-gang switch boxes become very, very crowded when replacing both switches with smart switches, especially when there are other wires traveling through the same box. Third, the switch housings are very bulky. This is true of other smart switches as well. I ran into a problem where a two-gang junction box has conduit coming in from the side. The switch is so wide that it hits the side conduit fitting and could not be inserted. My solution was to file down a small part of the plastic housing on the switch so that it could fit. (I did not file all the way through, which is how thick the plastic housing is. Of course this means that it is a durable housing.) Fourth, where we live, conduit and grounded junction boxes are required. The Meross switches should be grounded at the plastic tabs so that we dont have to bother with the ground wire. Unfortunately, they are not. Finally, if you want to adjust the minimum dimming level of a dimmer switch, or check for firmware updates, you MUST sign up for a Meross account, which I dont like. The Leviton switches that we have do not require this. Minimum dimming levels and firmware updates can be done through the Decora Smart Home app without needing to set up an account.

We installed one in the master bedroom and the future nursery. My wife leaves early for work and before I would wake up every morning after she turned on the lights to get ready. Now she would keep the lights dimmed so it is not a big shock for me in the morning. We haven’t used the nursery dimmer yet, but we can see it being useful in the near future. They were easy to install and it is easy to control using the app on our phone.

I put these in my kitchen on six LED can lights and it works great. I also install one in each bedroom for the kids and myself. They are easy to install with instruction right on the app. The switches work really well with Google Home. I can tell Google what level to put the lights to and it instantly does it. You can even program times for the lights to turn on and off. For the kids rooms I programmed the lights to turn off at 10 pm to let them know its time for bed (if by chance they hadnt turned them off by then). I put these and the single-pole switches all throughout the house now I just need to install the three-way switches to finish up all the light.

Ive been slowly upgrading my house to make it smart and in-wall switches have been one of the last steps. Im glad I found the Meross one since it connects to Apple HomeKit, the Meross app is easy to use and the installation was a breeze. The directions are pretty straight forward with diagrams to help. Took me about an hour for everything. Here are the steps that I took to install this 3-way switch in my kitchen: 1. Turned off the power and then took off the face plates. I took a picture of the existing wiring just in case I wanted to go back to the old switches. 2. I disconnected all the wires in both switch boxes and then turned the power back on. I made sure nobody was around when I did this. 3. Using my electrical tester, I carefully identified the Live wire. Mine was black. 4. Turned the power back off. 5. I then started taking the wire nuts (included in the Meross box) and connecting wires to the switch box with the Live wire in it. Green to the copper ground wire, Live to the black wire above, the Neutral wire (mine was white and was buried in the back of the box), and then the Traveler Wires. Meross includes stickers to put on the wires, but I skipped that step. 6. There were two Traveler wires - 50/50 guess which one was the right one so I took a guess. 7. Then I went over to the other switch box and connected the wires there. Just four of them - Green to Copper ground (again), Black to Black and then my guess at the two Traveler Wires 8. Tucked everything back in and then turned the power. After all of that, it didnt work. Why? My guess at the traveler wires was wrong! Meross points out in the instructions that this is probably the culprit. So I turned the power back off and simply switched the traveler wires in the 2nd box. Power back on and it worked! Both switches could manually turn on! Next, syncing it up to HomeKit was a breeze. There is an 8 digit code on the front of the 1st switch that I used to activate it. It took about 30 sec to add it to HomeKit. I have another Meross device so I already had that app on my phone. In the Meross app, I hit the + button at the top right and it automatically found the device. Super easy. I am able to control it through Siri, Google Home and Alexa with no problems. It reacts pretty quickly too - maybe a split second from the time I try to activate it with my voice to it coming on. The dimmer function seems to work in 25% increments manually from the switch, but through the app you can get it more precise (if you really wanted to dim your lights to an exact 47%, I guess you could). All-in-all, this 3-way switch is very user friendly at a good price. Love the Apple HomeKit integration. Would definitely recommend!

I have slowly been adding more and more Meross products to our smart home starting with their garage door opener and now all sorts of bulbs, plugs and extension cables and I have to say, they are all great. The switch particularly is sleek and stylish. It fit perfectly in the old switch plate and does not look out of place like I was afraid it might. We primarily control it via voice through Alexa as kids use to to go up and down stairs. The switch is right under the hand railing making it hard to reach so I am glad we were able to automate it. I set it up on homekit as well and it works great from my iphone as well. Very happy with the purchase.

The Meross Smart Dimmer Light Switch does exactly what you think it it: a smart dimmer light switch and nothing more. It is easy to setup (requires neutral wire), configure in the app, and to use. There is trimming on it for your lights that you are using as well. We used this in our bathroom with an LED bulb and an ultra thin LED recessed can light. Previously the HS200 from TPLINK caused flickering, but we did not see any on this switch which did impress us. Smart connectivity has worked perfectly every time with google home and IFTTT. Now onto the question, would I put these throughout our entire house? Probably not because in general, I dont think it looks nice in comparison to TPLINK or Lutron Caseta dimmers. It looks relatively cheap in my opinion especially with the LEDs on the front panel bleeding into the other areas. It also bugs me that the power button is on the bottom instead of the top. As an electrical engineer, I also am hesitant to install something that is not UL certified. It does have ETL certification, but in America, it is UL certification. In conclusion, its a good product that works reliably. It is a good value and if you are on a budget, these will work for you. Note: We were given one free as a review model.

I usually do not write positive reviews, if I am satisfied with a product, as I am extremely short on time (guilty). This time its an exception. I am extremely pleased with the reliability and functionality of this WiFi dimmable light switch. Unlike similar competitors devices, many of which Ive already tested and returned, Ive bought and am using over a dozen of Meross WiFi Outlet switches in my house. This is my first (and I am sure, not the last) Meross WiFi light switch). None of my Meross devices ever loose the WiFi connection with my home router (including one switch on the garage opener in the far corner of the property). All devices always respond to the Meross (android) apps. commands; in addition, the (android) app gets multiple updates... In addition, I noticed how serious the company is about the product quality and the customer service: multiple firmware updates, and quick on replying whenever I e-mail them with questions. Cant wait for the release of the Meross 3-WAY SWITCH to install in my kitchen. Highly recommend.

I started using Meross products because their Homekit garage door adapter was the only one I could find. They proved to be inexpensive, easy to install and reliable. Due to that experience, I have started using their smart switches. I think I have installed eight so far and I am still a satisfied customer. The only twist to the install is that my iPhone does not scan the device ID label. Thats no big deal since the set-up code is only eight characters. I have also been pleased to notice that Meross continues to provide software updates.
