> 3 dayIt was easy to install and easy to use. I had one issue which was the led indicator light was not working properly, so I contacted customer support via email. They responded quickly and got it resolved. The resolution was that I needed to update the software in the switch. Everything works perfectly afterwards. I didnt give it 5 stars because it didnt dim lower beyond a certain point (20%) is my guess. It wasnt a big deal for me but it might be for others.

> 3 dayWhen I first purchased this dimmer switch, I loved it and was so excited about the many possibilities to integrate it into my newly smart home. I bought 2 more dimmer switches and continued the love affair for about another month. Then one day, I updated the firmware on the Meross app and now theres a red light at the bottom of the switch that is permanently on when the lights are not in use. So annoying. The switch had no constant light before the firmware update and now this red one wont turn off. Its not overly bright, but enough to cause a distraction when in a completely dark room. Meross - Can you please revert back to when there was NO light if the switch is in off position? I understand the utility of the blue and green LEDs when the lights are turned on, but MUCH prefer the switch to be dark when lights are turned off.

21-11-2024Works great with recessed kitchen LED lighting, providing a wide range of brightness to dimming. Requires a large amount of room in electrical box to accommodate the switch along with all its wire nuts. Not sure how this happened but I needed to return/replace original two-pack due a wrong switch that didnt match switch it was supposed to pair with (also both switches were not new (used). I bought this brand because the units have proved to be reliable elsewhere in my house for about a year so far.

> 3 dayAfter latest update the switches are working perfectly. My original review is below. I was super excited by this product and it worked great...for about two weeks. Now the manual switch doesn’t work. I cannot turn the light on or off without my phone. I had a similar problem a couple of days ago and hit the circuit breaker to try and reset the product and that seemed to work for a few days and now I’m back to the manual switch failing again. It’s a bit frustrating. I’m hoping to find a way to update the product in hopes it will correct it he problem or else it will be returned. Original review: I don’t usually get very excited about light switches, but I am about this one. For a couple of years now I have been looking for a decent blue tooth enabled light switch that is dimmable as well as not overly expensive to run my bedroom lights. The switch is by the door and it’s a good distance from my bed, so I have often tripped over a dog toy or slipper while making my way to the bed. If I could only shut the lights off with my phone which is right beside me on my night table? I’ve tried a couple of pricey Bluetooth switches and returned them for not working well. The Meross smart WiFi dimmer switch is everything I wanted. Easy to install, nice looking led’s on the switch, and a very simple app to control the lights with, even when I’m away on vacation. Like many apps I am sure there will be some glitches, but so far I found it very straight forward and easy to use. The install was just as simple since the instructions pop up on your phone and walk you through it one step at a time. My other light switches run a black a white and a green (ground) wire. However after looking closely I noticed that the white wire coming from the switch was actually also connected to the black wire from the wall. Basically that is the break that the switch then opens or closed to allow the power to continue. Behind the switch was the white wire which you need to make this product work correctly. I attached white to white, the two blacks to the now two blacks after I separated them from the switch, and the green to the green. The switch came with wire twist connectors so it was really easy. I then turned the power back on and connected the WiFi and I was done. Less than 10 minutes for me. It’s been working great to date, and my package even came with two switches to make the price per unit even better. I couldn’t be happier.

Greater than one weekEverything is included with this switch kit. They even include labels for the different wires. There are some basic tools required (screwdriver, needle-nosed pliers, and a voltage meter). The Meross app takes through setting up, step by step. It is very easy to set up. Once I got it all setup and linked to the app, it was great! I have mine connected to my Alexa and SmartThings. The Meross app also has some functions, like a timer. I set my timer to dim the light after bedtime, which gives just enough light to walk around at night. Very impressed with this product for the value!

> 3 dayOne of the last outstanding items from the Meross line was the ability to have a 3 way dimmer switch. With the new release of this device it is now possible for me to replace all of the light switches in my home with homekit capable devices for around half the price as it would cost to use Caseta. The light switches are easy to install and look great. Very happy with it. Last remaining item would be a homekit enabled fan control switch. Hopefully there will be one in the future.

23-11-2024Great value for the price. Very easy to install and STAYS CONNECTED. The features are great. I have my bathroom lights come on at a low level every Monday thru Friday at 430am on low so its easy on the eyes at first. I have also set up a few scenes for different occasions . The software itself is easy to use. I bought a 2 pack and installed 1 just to see if they were worth it. As an Electrical Engineer i can say these are built well and will be buying these Exclusively for the foreseeable future. I do have some recommendations, mainly for the software. At this time I have 2 dimmers installed. I can program 1 to come on at any given time but not the other. It seems you can only program 1 device at this time. I was wanting my bedroom and bath to come on at the same time. This could also be used for when you are away by setting different lights to come on at night at different times. This all would just be a matter of a software update and for that i would easily pay a little more. These are a great value and work better than 2 other popular name branda i have tried.

> 3 dayI have installed several Meross switch products with HomeKit compatibility, and am overall happier with these switches than others that I have tried (mainly from Lutron and Leviton). Given the overall favorable reviews, I thought I would identify several issues that buyers should be aware of before moving forward. I like the Meross products, so I hope they expand and improve their product line. First, Meross provides the wrong size/thread screws for mounting their switches to US junction boxes. They should be 6-32 machine screws but they are not. OK, no big deal, so I used the screws that are already on my switches. Well, those have round (instead of flat) heads. They bulge out just enough that it is essentially impossible to get the snap-on switch plate attached. There are reviews on this or other Meross switches that complain of the same problem with the covers, but they dont identify that this is the problem. Second, the leads are permanently attached to the switch box. I would much prefer screw or push-in terminals. Every Meross switch has at least four leads, which increases the number of ends in a junction box. I am certainly not an expert on the National Electric Code, but I do know that there are limits of how many wires can be in a junction box with a given volume. Two-gang switch boxes become very, very crowded when replacing both switches with smart switches, especially when there are other wires traveling through the same box. Third, the switch housings are very bulky. This is true of other smart switches as well. I ran into a problem where a two-gang junction box has conduit coming in from the side. The switch is so wide that it hits the side conduit fitting and could not be inserted. My solution was to file down a small part of the plastic housing on the switch so that it could fit. (I did not file all the way through, which is how thick the plastic housing is. Of course this means that it is a durable housing.) Fourth, where we live, conduit and grounded junction boxes are required. The Meross switches should be grounded at the plastic tabs so that we dont have to bother with the ground wire. Unfortunately, they are not. Finally, if you want to adjust the minimum dimming level of a dimmer switch, or check for firmware updates, you MUST sign up for a Meross account, which I dont like. The Leviton switches that we have do not require this. Minimum dimming levels and firmware updates can be done through the Decora Smart Home app without needing to set up an account.

> 3 dayThe packaging looks nice, installation is easy and matches that of any 3-way switch and went without a hitch. A normal 3-way switch costs, I guess, 7 USD or so? So the only sales point this has is that it allegedly connects to Apple HomeKit. But it doesnt. Tried seven times for over an hour, out of those seven times it connected once and showed up in Apple Home, the app on my iPhone. We have full WLAN coverage and full bars, no blind spots, WLAN router sitting just underneath a conventional wood framing construction without any interference. Reception is not the issue, nor routing, no VPN or anything else that could be an obstacle. Six times it showed unable to add accessory, one time it added it but remained unresponsive, so actually using it through the Home app is not possible. This leaves us with just walking up to the switch and dimming or switching, which 7 USD do as well. Cannot recommend, save your money, but know there is no proper stand-alone solution to date that works with HomeKit. None of them work, tried all of them, and all of them have their quirks making them unusable. If its due to Apple, well, dont sell it and go with someone who gets the job done, this way its advertising on what you cannot deliver.

> 3 dayReplaced and under cabinet kitchen lights switch. Works great and Im was/am really impressed with the easy of installation, both physical and app. Physical installation was simple enough at the switch has your standard two connections (line & load), so that part was easy as it doesnt matter which wire connects to which lead on the switch, which are labeled well on the switch. As I was installing this in a two gang box I had a power plug, next door, which gave me access to a neutral wire, which is required for the smart part of the switch to work. Please make sure you have a neutral wire in the box you are installing the switch in, otherwise it wont work, unless of course you run a new neutral (either from the panel or from a closer location. If you do that please follow your local municipalities electrical practices or high an electrician). The app worked well better than I thought it would, which is a very nice plus. It quickly found the device and within minutes I was able to turn on/off & dim the lights. I opened Google Home (my preference) and added Meross to my home and the switch was there. Ive been testing both the Hey Google and the app incessantly and neither has failed yet, which is very impressive. Overall great product, great integration to my smart home and simple enough installation. Im very pleased.
