I bought this switch to get one step closer to turning my home into a fully functioning smart home and it did not disappoint. This is my 6th Meross product and they make very high quality products that do exactly what you need them to do without complicated things. I installed this on my second floor hallway lights and it was relatively easy although I will say that the traveler wires need to match on both ends but no biggie. I used the Meross app to add the dimmer switch and added it to Apple Homekit without any issues. Another reason to get the switch is the fact that has physical buttons so if there’s ever a wifi outage I can always use the switch normally. This is a a 5 star product all the way although if I had to pick something for improvement I would say that the receiver switch night light doesn’t turn on, not sure if this can be fixed via a firmware update or not but I did see it blink during the installation. Other than that, a MUST HAVE product for all smart homes.

I bought a Meross smart switch to solve the problem I was having with people leaving the kitchen light on in my house. After I would get up and walk over to turn off of the lights they would come right back down, turn them on and leave them on again. With the smart switch I didnt care if the lights were left on anymore. I could use the app on my smart phone or turn them off by voice command. After a few weeks I thought if one is good two is better. I have done three Meross smart switch installations now. After the dimmer install Google Home and Alexa both found it, added it and set up the device for voice control automatically. I cannot tell you how happy I am with my Meross smart switches and smart plugs. The app allows me to setup schedules for lights to come on in the mornings and turn them off after I leave for work. I can turn off the kitchen lights even when Im not at home just because I know what goes on in my kitchen.

Keeps loosing connection

After latest update the switches are working perfectly. My original review is below. I was super excited by this product and it worked great...for about two weeks. Now the manual switch doesn’t work. I cannot turn the light on or off without my phone. I had a similar problem a couple of days ago and hit the circuit breaker to try and reset the product and that seemed to work for a few days and now I’m back to the manual switch failing again. It’s a bit frustrating. I’m hoping to find a way to update the product in hopes it will correct it he problem or else it will be returned. Original review: I don’t usually get very excited about light switches, but I am about this one. For a couple of years now I have been looking for a decent blue tooth enabled light switch that is dimmable as well as not overly expensive to run my bedroom lights. The switch is by the door and it’s a good distance from my bed, so I have often tripped over a dog toy or slipper while making my way to the bed. If I could only shut the lights off with my phone which is right beside me on my night table? I’ve tried a couple of pricey Bluetooth switches and returned them for not working well. The Meross smart WiFi dimmer switch is everything I wanted. Easy to install, nice looking led’s on the switch, and a very simple app to control the lights with, even when I’m away on vacation. Like many apps I am sure there will be some glitches, but so far I found it very straight forward and easy to use. The install was just as simple since the instructions pop up on your phone and walk you through it one step at a time. My other light switches run a black a white and a green (ground) wire. However after looking closely I noticed that the white wire coming from the switch was actually also connected to the black wire from the wall. Basically that is the break that the switch then opens or closed to allow the power to continue. Behind the switch was the white wire which you need to make this product work correctly. I attached white to white, the two blacks to the now two blacks after I separated them from the switch, and the green to the green. The switch came with wire twist connectors so it was really easy. I then turned the power back on and connected the WiFi and I was done. Less than 10 minutes for me. It’s been working great to date, and my package even came with two switches to make the price per unit even better. I couldn’t be happier.

This is a great upgrade to our old sliding dimmer switch. It works without a problem with the app and Alexa. “Alexa, turn on light” “Alexa, 50% (or whatever % you want) light” “Alexa, turn the light off” It saves the last (dimmer) setting when you turn it off. So if you have it 10% light output then you turned it off, the next time you turn it on it’ll be at 10% light output. -I like that- Installation is pretty straightforward -make sure you have the Meross app and you’re logged in. Make sure the main power switch is turned off!!- the switch wires are well labeled. The app has a step by step guide to get you through. Or if you’re a handy diy-er, you’ll get it installed in less than 5 minutes. If you are starting your smart home project, I highly recommend Meross’ product. They have a lot to get you started and they all work with just one app(!) and all of them (the ones I purchased -garage door opener, smart plugs, smart switch-) works with Alexa.

I have been using the meross plugs for several years. In our new home we have installed the Smart Dimmer Switch in six locations and they work great. The price is extremely competitive to a just a dimmer from your local big box store, but now we have all the added features of a WiFi smart switch. Meross is a trusted brand with great customer service if you have any questions on the DIY, I found the instructions provided through the app to be right on track for an easy DIY install. Recommend when responding to firmware updates to complete each one individually instead of update all.

I have decided to use only Meross products for my home automation project. They all are of high quality, easy to install and work trouble-free. The company’s customer service is great. Prompt replies and eager to solve any problem. I strongly recommend this company.

Overall, the dimmable switch works well with my led porch lights. I can dim them via the wall switch, as well as from within the app, but the one thing I was hoping to be able to control was to automatically dim the lighting over a period of time. It would be a fantastic feature to be able to add a dimming routine to the porch lights at different times of the evening, rather than just and on/off routine. HEY MEROSS!!! Can you guys add a dimming percentage to your routine screen??? Would be awesome if you gave us an option box to either type in a dimming percentage, or even a drop down of, say 20/40/60/80/100% for the dimmable switches!

These are very good switches, but understand that this two pack does not contain two complete smart dimmer switches. One is a master and one is a slave switch.

I have seen other 3 way kits but none that provide dimming function on both the switches. Works great with all the smart home solutions out there. It took a while to get it working but that was because my home wiring was not what I expected it to be. You have to install these exactly as described or else it wont work.
