I am a big fan of the Meross products. I picked up this several of these smart dimmers to control most of the light switches in my house. You have several connectivity options like pairing directly to a voice assistant, Im a Google/Nest house and it works great. However, they also connect to Smartthings, which is how I have mine set up. I just updated all of my smart switches and dimmers to Meross products, so I hope they stay in business. Single and double gang boxes I have plenty of room even if placed with other smart switches. Triple gang boxes with all 3 being smart switches is TIGHT. If there was a way to make these a little thinner, they would be perfect.

Installation was easy. Mine didnt come with wire nuts so make sure you have 8 or so. The traveller wires are never connected to other wiring, so youll at least 4 for those and this doesnt come with screw connections or quick inserts. The switch is all plastic, I didnt see any metal from the outside, but this isnt an issue for me. The connections were labeled on the back of the switch and the stranded wire folds easily back into the switchbox. The switch design is intuitive, and the little LED indicators to show you the light levels are a nice touch. The paddles still turn the light on and off and the little buttons are just for dimming. I installed this with another smart switch in about an hour, with a one year olds help. Everything was looking good at this point. Adding the switch in the Meross app was troublesome. I couldnt get my iPhone to scan the homekit code, and when I typed in the code, it brought up a hub I didnt recognize. When I selected the hub, it said it couldnt add the device. I didnt check to see what network I was on, maybe that was it. I swapped out the switch, but maybe Ill try it somewhere else where I can mess with it a little more comfortably.

Great dimmable smart switch! The installation is easy for anyone with basic home improvement skill. The mobile app is easy to use but is fairly limited in its features. The biggest gap with this dimmer is that there is no way to disable the led on its face plate, this makes them less than ideal for bedroom. I hope meross can add this to their next firmware update.

The first switch set I received ended up being defective. Meross was very responsive and after a couple of emails, I promptly had a replacement, which worked as it should. I have several of the Meross smart switches and this is my first one that is a dimmer. I love all of them and will likely purchase more as I continue to make the switch to a smart home.

This product was something I waited for for a while. It was something most other companies has not had either. As usual Meross did not disappoint. You can dim from either location but is also compatible with all the major assistants out there. I use mine winth Google Home. The Meross ecosystem has a great line of products. Not only is setup in the Meross app super simple, once one product is added to Google Home the rest just automatically show up. Then you just add it to a room. You can not ask for better products. I have single pole and 3 way and single pole dimmer and now 3 way dimmer. I also have their garage door unit. I have had many of these for over a year so I can also say that so far they seem very reliable. I have had power outages and bad storms and they all have survived. You cant ask for a better product.

Short version: Buy Lutron Caseta instead, as it is definitely worth the $10-20 extra per switch. Long Version: I have purchased eight meross switches over the course of the last eighteen months. Initially, I found them fairly easy to install and reasonably reliable though clearly made with fairly cheap materials. A new firmware patch was released last spring (2021), after which the switches behaved erratically. For example, we would find random switches turned on automatically in the middle of the night or simply flash on and off for a few seconds. This was particularly troublesome while asleep, creating temporary panic when the lights would flash on and off to wake my young children. It also made my spouse concerned about the potential fire danger of failing electronics in the wall, whether the concern was warranted or not. As an aside, the Reddit channel on meross has great descriptions of this same problem from multiple users. I did contact support several times and was repeatedly advised that a new firmware version was undergoing “testing” and would be available soon. Several months later, the aforementioned firmware was still not available and the switches continued to flash on and off at random. Further, they consistently became completely unresponsive - in the app, in HomeKit or via touching the actual switch such that all eight of them would require a manual reset every few days by pushing the reset button or flipping the breaker. To mitigate this issue, I did block the switches’ connection to the outside network on my router and that did decrease (but did not eliminate) the frequency of these events. However, this also made me wonder what was being shared from the switches in my home with meross servers far far away (again, discussed by other users in Reddit who have tracked the packets that these switches send out while installed on your local network). After support failed to provide a solution (or refund) despite their claims of standing behind their product, I removed all of the switches and replaced them with Lutron Caseta. Over a month of service, they have been completely solid as both physical switches and in HomeKit - in fact, the only thing in HomeKit that I have found to be 100% reliable. Again, this seems to be universal reading reviews of the Lutron Caseta products which all provide significant praise. In summary, would strongly recommend starting with Lutron Caseta rather than these meross switches. The amount of time and worry that the meross switches caused was well worth the extra $10 / switch spent on Lutron.

Works great with recessed kitchen LED lighting, providing a wide range of brightness to dimming. Requires a large amount of room in electrical box to accommodate the switch along with all its wire nuts. Not sure how this happened but I needed to return/replace original two-pack due a wrong switch that didnt match switch it was supposed to pair with (also both switches were not new (used). I bought this brand because the units have proved to be reliable elsewhere in my house for about a year so far.

The directions made the installation easy and understandable to install a 3-way switch. The HomeKit autofill with my phone didnt work but I just entered the HomeKit Code and it quickly paired my switch. It installed easily and I was up and running. My Echo automatically found my new switch and gave me a notification on my iPhone saying that it was added to my Alexa app. The Meross app easily found the switch and I installed it but the controls didnt show up in the app until I quit the app and opened it up a few minutes later. Other than that, it has been working fine ever since and I havent had any issues with the switches. Nice Product and a great value for the money!

Im a fan of Meross products. I own their smart garage opener, smart ambient light, smart power strip, a few single way and three way switches, and now the three way dimmer. The products are easy to install and extremely responsive with smart home controllers and their apps. Theres is minimal to zero lag in their response to smart-speaker and app-control as well as from the physical switch. This is a great selling point as (from the posted pictures) you can see I also have a Leviton 3-way switch installed and that thing is a pain to use! On/off is ok, but trying to set a dimness level is nearly impossible due to the lag between the two switches (I believe that switch also required two neutrals but only one traveler). The Meross switch has 25% increments for dimming up/down and can be continuously dimmed by holding the buttons or in the app. Its simple to use and install (neutral on the non-load side plus two travelers - the single pole switch is even easier since you can use a dumb switch on the other side and the wiring is even more straight forward). Be sure to check the wiring guides to make sure you have the have a neutral on the non-load side since there is no way around that. The remote switch doesnt display the dimness level so be aware of that. Wiring is via nuts which is generally easier than screw-in but gets challenging when you cram a box with multiple smart switches like I do.

I was really excited to get these because of all of the great reviews. Unfortunately, I am disappointed with my purchase. I just installed one of these switches and immediately noticed that the minimum dim level is not nearly as dim as my lutron dimmer. I enjoy having very dim lights while watching TV at night so I can still see my surroundings, but also not blind me and glare on the TV. My picture shows the comparison of the Lutron dimmer (left) and the Meross dimmer (right) both set to their minimum levels. The lights are exactly the same so this is strictly the dimmer causing the difference. Excuse my mess, I am in the middle of a remodel. I will likely be returning these switches because the minimum dim level is very important to me. I still left 4 stars because everything else worked very well. Google integration was easy, installation was easy, and the Meross app was very easy to use.
