Smart Zone Games Hive Pocket

My wife and I are completely HOOKED on this game. Its like a poor mans chess. Doesnt take long to get the hang of it and it provides hours and hours of fun. I highly recommend this game to couples who like to hang out, drink a few beers, and try and beat each other at a game of strategy. Not having a big, clunky board is a definite plus. Get the additional pieces, too. They make an already fun game even funner.

In my opinion, hive pocket offers the best value for a new player looking to get into hive. The base full sized version comes without the ladybug and mosquito expansions and costs more(!) than the pocket version. As far as the game itself goes, its amazing. Ive probably played it two hundred times over the past several months with various people and it really succeeds in providing the chess-without-a-board feel. I love how portable it is as well, so easy to throw in a bag for a quick game.

Awesome game. Easy to learn and tough to master. i have both the pocket edition and original larger version. I can easily say the pocket version is of the highest quality and is a much better value than the original. The storage bag it comes with is a comfy cloth pull string bag, which makes it easy to bring along anywhere. I highly recommend this game.

Great game. Havent played the full size, but this is great to play and easy to travel with because its small. Highly recommend.

We took this game on a 3 week road trip and it was so fun to play! It packs up small (very convenient for travel) and doesnt require a lot of space. It can also be played over and over again since you never have the same arrangement of pieces each time. Great two player game that you can play for a few minutes or as a game night over cheese and wine :) We have not tried to bring it backpacking or on any trip where weight could be a concern, but will try this summer.

This is the best game no one knows about. Perfect size - take it with you anywhere, easy to learn, fun to play. Like an easier, more simplified version of chess, with insects yall.
